Part 11:

Naina was mesmerized by the view in front of her. They were in front of a lake. The reflection of the moon light and the twinkling stars in the aqua blue water was wonderful. It was a very serene place surrounded by trees giving them full privacy. For a moment, she was spellbound by the surroundings forgetting her anger. Raj gently put her down on the grassy part of the shore and asked her to sit down.

"Naina! You misunderstood me. First let me explain about it"

She turned her face to the other side ." Naina! please look at me"

She did not turn. After some time when she did not hear any thing ,she turned towards him. Raj was not there. A jewelry box was placed beside her. It was the same box she saw at the mall. she opened it and there was a beautiful necklace with a heart shaped locket. She opened the locket and there were both of their photos on each side. The designs on the locket were very beautiful. So, this was for her .Her anger vanished to some extent. She looked around for him and saw that he was standing near the lake looking at the sky.

She slowly went to him. "Raj! I thought you lied to me because you were with that girl"

"she is jewelry designer. I ordered it specially for you. she helped me in choosing the design and gave me the necklace today. I wanted to surprise you. So,I did not told you ."

She felt ashamed of herself. He was always trying to make her happy and she doubted him. she could not face him. Her eyes were welled up with tears. she turned to go back when Raj caught hold of her hand.

"I am telling you the truth naina" he sounded very desperate and frustrated. "please believe me"

She could not hold back any more. she hugged him fiercely."I am really sorry raj. I am so scared of losing you. please forgive me"

He stroked her head affectionately."It's okay naina. Don't feel bad about it."

"I was so upset thin king that you did not tell me the truth. I am really sorry"

He took hold of her face in his hands and wiped her tears."Naina! no matter what happens, I can never betray you"

He kissed her forehead gently "I love you naina" she was touched by the deep sincerity in his voice. His lips on her forehead soothed her and all the worries vanished from her heart. They touched their fore heads gently smiling .

They sat at the edge of the lake loving the feel of the water on their feet."This is the most beautiful place I have ever seen" she told to him."I want to stay here with you forever"

"Are you sure about it?" he winked at her.

"Yes" she said." I am sure"

"Forget it naina. I know you don't mean it."

"I mean it raj"

"Okay. Then prove it by staying here till morning" he smiled at her.

She felt a strange mix of emotions rush through her. she was excited and scared at the same time. she was not afraid of staying with him and yet she was nervous .

"Raj.I want to stay but."

"we have to go to the academy " he replied looking at her .

She lowered her eyes ."I was just joking naina. I didn't mean it. we will leave after some time"

"Then we have to make the most of it" she told him. He looked at her. She was looking beautiful with a strange glow on her face. She moved closer to him. "close your eyes raj"

He obeyed her. He could feel her presence very close to him and was lost in it. suddenly, she splashed water on him startling him.

"naina!you are impossible" she was laughing uncontrollably. He too splashed the water on her and it continued for some time. They were enjoying and stopped it when both were drenched.

They sat on the blanket and she leaned on his chest. He wrapped his arms around her. I don't want to go back"

"I remember you were saying the opposite before"

"Now I don't want to go" she buried her face in his chest. He pulled her more close to him and raj's mobile rang. she moved from him quickly.

It was shalini "where are you raj?"

"Is everything okay shalini?

"yes.I wanted to give some files to you. your room was locked .so, I called you"

Meanwhile naina thought of some mischief. she was relaxed because it was shalini.

"shalini.I will be .." he could not continue the sentence because naina touched his face in a loving way making him distracted.

"raj! Are you there?"

"Yes shalini.stop it? he tried to stop her but naina continued teasing him .

"what should I stop?" shalini asked confused

"No.not you. I am saying that I will be .."naina kissed his cheek suddenly surprising him and again he forgot what he was saying.

"Raj! Are you okay" asked shalini

"naina! What are you doing?"

Shalini now understood that he was with naina.

"Raj! I think you should stop now" she said mischievously

"What! I did not do anything. She was .." and he looked embrassed and shocked.

"It's okay raj. See you soon. Enjoy the evening" she giggled and disconnected the phone.

Naina was laughing clutching her stomach. Raj! I can't believe it"

Raj looked at her ."I will not leave you"
