Part 8:
The next week was very busy for naina with her exams. she sulked inwardly for not being able to meet him often. she longed to spend time with him. But she had to concentrate on her studies first.But she never missed wishes of Raj before entering the examination hall. when she wrote the last exam, she rushed to him immediately.
But to her dismay, he was teaching the cadets some drill on the KMA ground. she thought of waving to him but dismissed the idea remembering the consequences of being caught red-handed.she had to think of something else.
Luckily Aalekh was going by that side. she quickly scribbled something on a paper and gave it to aalekh. "Aalekh! please give it to Rajveer sir. Don't tell him that i gave it"
"Finally I have to do these type of things. You handle this yourself" said Aalekh with a mischievous smile. "Aalekh! I know that you can do this much for me. please ! If you do it, I will invite neelu to our room today" she said looking confident of her offer.
"Ok baba! I will give it to your sir! Happy?" he left with a grin on his face.
Rajveer was giving some instructions to the cadets when aalekh approached him. "Good evening sir!"
"Aalekh! How was the exam?" he asked.
"Good sir. Actually, i came to give you this letter. Bc told to give it to you" he gave the letter and left.
Raj read the letter."Major Rajveer singh shekawath! Meet me at your quarters. It is very important "
He kept the letter inside "Ok cadets! You continue the drill. I have got some important work. I will be back soon"
He went there and saw naina waiting for him."Oh naina ! what r u doing here? "
She smiled inwardly and said "Actually BC called me here"
"Ok! let's wait inside"
He opened the door and they sat on the couch."So, may I know why cadet naina Ah singh wants to meet me so urgently?" he asked with a smiling face.
She was stunned."How do you ...?
"You forgot to change your hand-writing"
She hit her forehead with defeat."Oh! Actually, I am not able to talk to you properly because of my exams. So, I thought to meet you"
He took hold of her hand in his."I know naina! I will plan some thing soon. But I have to go now. I left the drill in the middle and came here. Duty comes first"
She looked into his eyes and sighed.
"Bye naina! "he was about to go when she stopped him." I will also come with you"
"What are you going to do there?"
"Nothing.But I want to come" she said stubbornly.
"Fine." he agreed and they left to the ground.
It has been an hour since she came to the ground and she was continously watching Raj. The way he teaches the cadets, the smile on his face at their silly mistakes, the way he encourages them, god she loves everything about him. It's like her love for him is increasing with each passing moment.
Suddenly she got an mischievous idea. she started going towards the basket ball court .she walked from the opposite side facing him .Raj was instructing someone when he casually looked at her side. she kissed the diamond ring he gave to her looking at him intently. He looked at her distracted from his speech. Before he could react, she winked at him and left. The cadets were wondering what happened to him. Raj composed himself and started again , embrassed as well wondering to himself " Did she really do it?"
He would have thought he was imagining it had he not seen the smile on her face."God! this girl will make me mad one day" he thought admiring her mischievousness inwardly.
He went to his room and freshened up. when he opened the door, he was surprised.
