Doesn’t that make some of this drama of the failed relationship, a pretense with your own family? Like Dadi and the “insult” to Garima, this is also being held unfairly against Anu and Aakash, and Viveka.

Also, If you were really so in love and hurt that you didn’t have your family backing you, if you had the chance to have a do-over, wouldn’t you make a fresh start? If Inder reached out and said I still want to be with you Naina, wouldn’t you say this time let’s go to my parents first and talk to them? The girl is 27, not 15. Her hormones cannot be blamed for this bs behavior.

If Inder had proposed and asked her parents, would they have said no? Probablty not. They might have been reluctant due to the class difference as they are with Viveka and Raanav, but they would have at least tried. They never got that chance because no one asked. Not Inder not Naina.

What we badly need here is Inder's point of view. Why did he break up? Did he decide or he was bullied into it? Why elope now? His family giving him a hard time and thats the only way?

There has been nothing formal like Veev and Raanav with Naina. Though there was that one instance where Inder awkwardly caught , asked Akash if they could talk about it any time soon and Akash furious then said he's not interested. Not sure if Inder took it as no, naina's parents are not for it.

Naina too pleaded with her parents to reach out at one point in time saying Inder said they would be interested. But since there wasn't anything concrete .... like a semblance of move from either end, it was more frustration and stuck in a place for an indefinite period of time . And just when Akash wanted to establish a contact, Naina dropped the bombshell that Inder broke up.

I am not sure if her parents felt more compelled to be more pro active for Viveka first , given the pressures of a difficult Dadi as well as Harshu's marriage looming.!!

Whatever be the reason, Naina is too deceptive a brat!!! She can't be this volatile and expect her parents to be dancing to her tunes day in day out. Oh and veev needn't worry about Naina. She will survive even if she ends being dumped or left pregnant.

Naina had an added advantage here because if Inder and Naina had rightfully approached A& A now, theirs would have gone through too. Her parents couldn't have refused it because of status as they have just agreed to veev's.

Probably Inder's parents too are not wanting to do anything about it. So these two are like , ok no one cares, so we are now left to our own devices.

If Inder is Smrita’s brother’s son and her brother is anything like her then there is not going to be any interest from their side. We don’t know Inder at any level - nature , career . His view of Naina or the Mathurs.

Even if Inder’s parents were not interested or didn’t care, Naina knows how her parents are? She knows how her aunt, grandmother, grandmother’s neighbor’s sister will talk about a middle class girl ran away from home with a rich guy? She wanted legitimacy for her relationship w Inder. This ain’t the way to get it.😔

However you look at it, even if it is Inder who encouraged Naina, what happened to Naina’s own upbringing and sense of right and wrong?

This is worse than Lydia in Pp because she was only 15-16 years old when she ran away. Naina doesn’t have that excuse. 😒

I am feeling really sorry for Mr Iyer now. I wasn’t that sympathetic when II went to Jaipur and R&B followed her and brought her back. Now I can understand better how he must have felt. 🤣 See this Nisha, we identify with your characters as though we know them in real life. 🤗

Yeah Naina let her outrage and feelings of hurt fuel her outrageous actions. I dont know if its true that Mathurs love Viveka more. I doubt it.

Naina is definitely consuming more of their emotional resources.

Viveka definitely does not want to hear about Naina from Raanav. No way!!

Akash was getting increasingly antsy after a week, if Naina was not going to marry him or be in a long term relationship she needs to get her butt home he thundered one day

When Dadi was staying over at Bua’s

It was the 7th day of Navaratri

Ma missed her daughters, she celebrated Ashtami, Bua celebrated Navami, this year one girl was missing

No sign of where she was

Akash urged her to continue seeing Raanav

She didn’t

He didn’t bother to call her either

There was no love in that situation right now

She missed him greatly

They went from almost married to not talking to each other in a matter of a week

Viveka continued to ping Naina with no response

Even Inder was not responding to her text, he did respond with a “Naina is fine Viveka”

No response

They wanted to have a good time apparently and didn’t want to be pestered by family

Raanav Viveka didn’t talk to each other afterwards, 3 ish weeks and counting, almost approaching Diwali

Inder had arrived that Sunday, and seemed pleasant and funny like he always was, hung out with Raanav’s 100 friends until wee hours of Monday morning

Being easily swayed by nature Inder had accepted it and broken off

Alone, back home in London and South Africa it was easy for Naina to approach him again

This time out of fear for his Bua he had not revealed reconnecting with his lady love

Outwardly Naina continued to pretend that the Mathurs owed her something, and she hated Parashars more than she hated Inder

But kept the rekindling to herself, and stayed under the radar until he actually arrived in delhi the Sunday there was lunch at Bua’s

She stayed home and went off to receive him and then returned home to pack and told her parents she was going with her “work friends”

Anu and Veev knew her work friends well, they had hung out together at various occasions, through many of them getting married, and Naina going on vacations

Only Veev’s friends were either in the married with teen kids or too broke to go anywhere, bhooke peyt IAS hopefuls, she didn’t go away much

Neha and Rhea were both married Viveka occasionally went to their homes to spend a night

That was about it

Viveka had called all of Naina’s friends the Monday Raanav told her she was in Dubai

All of them were honest, the ones that were still in Rajkot told her that Naina had a rush demand from one of her clients to finish up the penthouse patio conversion in Gurgaon that she could not go away

“I love him Ma” Naina texted Anubha two weeks from the day of leaving home

Anu forgot her anger and disappointment and called her immediately sobbing

But Naina didn’t answer

Another week went by, Anu urged Viveka to talk to Raanav

“As far as I know its over” she mumbled

That was more heartbreaking for Anu than Naina’s disappearance

Akash received multiple invitations and texts from Satyen wanting to know why there were no phone calls or dates between raanav and Viveka

He called Viveka to talk about her NGO

She met him at Evergreen in Green Park, Satyen told her Mr Nahar would accompany him so she accepted the offer

But Satyen showed up by himself

After greeting her he told her pointedly he missed her

“Though I love to hear that I wish your son says that to me” her mind voice screamed

She stayed awake at night missing him, re-re-reading his texts and the memes and the links he would send her

Her favorite “go to” memory being of him feeding himself peanuts off her skin

“Ive been so busy I am sorry I haven’t been able to come home” she admitted silkily

“Aap raat ko bhi kaam karte ho? Sunday ko bhi?” he smiled

“Just dealing with stuff at home” she lowered her troubled gaze

He knew about Naina, how would he not… since everyone considered Naina to be an “adult” she was supposedly free to do what she wanted

When he pressed Viveka politely steered the convo to the NGO work

Dadi came to Rohini to collect the juicy gossip, kick up a fight and then went off to Bua’s for a couple days

The neighbors were slowly getting wind of it and began to ask “Naina nahi dikh rahi” “Uski touring job hai”

“Naina kahin bahar gayi hai”

“Naina ko bade din se nahi dekha”

It was taking a toll on Anubha’s new role at work as well

Akash swallowed his pride and reached out to Satyen

Satyen freed his calendar for the rest of the day and met with Akash

The next morning Naina called Akash and told him she was returning to Delhi

Such was Satyen’s power

Whoa!!! That is a lot to unpack......about Naina, Inder, Smrita’s involvement in the break up, Naina’s lies, inder’s Lack of spine (I want to say 🏀🏀) , and most importantly Raanav and Viveka’s breakup (?).

I feel horrible for Anu and Aakash. Like she won’t even bother to reply to them? What a witch.

Why is Naina coming back? After 3 weeks of unplanned leave does she even have a job or a reputation to hold on to?

Hats off to Satyen being non judge mental and empathetic to the situation facing the Mathurs.
