Part 32:
But Geet was not gonna stop now! She had to get out of here. Well at least out of Maan's cabin. On the way she bumped into people but still she didn't stopped till she was outside the building. She found an auto lingering around the office. She quickly took it and went home. On the way she cursed herself billion of times or more.
Maan was very lost in her words. He kept on recalling that moment. A lot of confusion was taking over his mind. He wanted to ask her. The more he think about Geet's words, the more he would be lost in her words. Maan looked at himself through the mirror desk and to his surprise he was smiling. He didn't know why he was smiling.
"Yeh Geet kya keh gayi thi? Maan tujhay itna acha kyun lag raha hai? Remember she is just an employee! Yeh jo bhi keh ker gayi hai woh sahi nahi tha. No no not at all."
Maan tried to ignore this whole situation and got back to his work. However, Geet couldn't concentrate in anything. She accidently gave 1000 Rs. instead of 200 Rs to the auto driver. Thanks to him he was a very honest person and told her that she is handing him 1000 Rs. instead 200.
Geet entered her house and went straight to her room without saying hi to anyone. She stayed in her room for more than half an hour. Rano noticed the changes in her daughter so she decided to go check on her.
"Geet beta, kya huwa?"
"Kuch nahi mama, bas tired hoon."
"Ok beta, tum rest kero phir baad main aa ker khana kha laina. theek hai?"
Geet nodded and pretended to go to sleep but the reality was Geet couldn't go to sleep. Will she ever fall asleep in her whole life after what she had experienced an hour ago with her BOSS? Geet took her pillow and smashed it against her face. Maybe just maybe she might be dreaming and will wake up soon. thought Geet.
Tired of just laying there she got up and went downstairs. Rano and Rajji were in the kitchen preparing for dinner while Mr. Handa and Brij sat on the dining table discussing about business issues. Geet tried to distract herself by helping her mother and sister. After some time the whole family was ready to eat. They all settled down and started eating. Brij and Rajji playing with each other while Rano and Mr. Handa laughed. Geet lost in her own world.
All of the sudden Mr. Handa gets a phone call. He leaves the dining hall to receive the phone call. Everyone just stared at each other and just shrugged and got back to eating. After some time he came back and sat down quietly.
"Koun tha ji?" asked Rano.
"Hoshiyarpur se call aayi thi."
Hearing the name of Hoshiyarpur everyone looked at each other in disbelief.
"Hoshiyarpur?! Koun tha baba, mujhay batain. Uski handiyan tod nahin di to mera naam Brij nahin." Brij got up and rolled up his sleeves.
"Bas Brij! Itni jaldbazi achi nahin hoti."
"Per Baba." Protested Rajji.
"Rajji beta bas!"
"Ji phone kis ka tha??"
"Woh munchi ji ka."
"Kya keh rahay thay?"
"Bauji ki tabhiyat bhot kharab ho gayi hai. Unko heart attack aaya hai."
Everyone shocked.
"to ab?"
"Woh humain bula rahay hain, bauji."
Everyone looked at each other shocked.
"Baba main Geet aur Rajji nahin jain gain! KABHI BHI NAHI!!"
"Brij tum sab ko jana parhay ga werna.."
"Per baba, aap bhool gaye hain ke wahan mere aur brij bhaiya ke saath kya huwa tha?" Protested Geet.
Mr. Handa sighed. "Main kuch bhi nahin bhoola per baita he is my father and your grandfather. Waisay bhi bauji ne kya kiya hai woh to un logon ne... Khair Rano aur tum sab sun lo, kal subha subha Hoshiyarpur ja rahay hain for a week. Be ready subha 6 baje jana hai."
"Per Baba mera college?"
"1 week ki chutiyan lai lo simple. I'll talk to your principal first thing in the morning."
Nobody uttered another word but just sat there and ate quietly. Nobody could say anything after Mr. Handa made the 'final' decision.
During the night, Geet had two major problems in her mind. Number 1: Hoshiyarpur and Number 2: Maan and her words. And then she had a bright idea, if she stayed away from Maan for 1 week then maybe everything will settle down. He might forget about her words. Now all she needed to do was give Pinky her Holidays Application. Pinky will then give it to Maan. If he didn't agree then she guessed she will have to quit her job.
Morning came everyone left the house for Hoshiyarpur. First they stopped at Geet's college and then at her office to give her Holiday Application. After that she sat back in the car and fell asleep hoping everything will settle down in Hoshiyarpur after what happened to her and her brother 4 years ago. And of course her 'boss trouble' too will settle down. And the next time she woke up was when they have reached Hoshiyarpur around 9 AM.
Precap: How will Maan react? What will happen in Hoshiyarpur? Or what had happened to Geet and Brij 4 years ago which caused them to never go back to Hoshiyarpur till now?
