Geet woke up to a fresh new morning. She looked at the couch beside the window. He wasn't there. Maan took a day off because he didn't feel like working at all.

Geet: "He's probably downstairs" she thought and headed off to the washroom to get ready for the day.

Geet was right, he was downstairs reading a newspaper. She was about to speak to Maan but the door bell rang.

Geet and Maan looked at the door.

Geet went up to the door to see who it was. A huge smile formed on her face.

Geet: "Meera!" she exclaimed

Meera: "Geet!" she replied back excitedly and both hugged.

Maan put down his newspaper and immediately got up and walked to the door, smiling.

Geet and Meera knew each other because they were best friends. Maan and Meera knew each other because... Well you'll find it very soon.

Maan: "Hey Meera, how are you?" he said and welcomed Meera inside happily and Meera walked inside the house.

Next came Sameera. Geet looked at Sameera confusingly.

Geet: "Meera? Who is this?" she asked

Meera turned around to repsond.

Meera: "She's my sister I was telling you about" she said and looked Maan

Maan looked at Sameera blankly and just stood there for a few seconds.

Geet: "What is Maan doing? Isn't he going to welcome her inside? I'll do it" she decided

Geet: "Um, hi! I'm Geet, Maan's wife. Come in!"

Sameera, who was looking at Maan intensly, moved her eyes to Geet.

Sameera: "She needs to die, so I can obtain my Maan back" she thought to herself and forced a fake smile and walked inside.

Everyone sat down on the sofa.

Geet: "You guys came at the perfect time! I was just about to make breakfast" she and stood up to go to the kitchen. Maan stopped her.

Maan: "I need to talk to you Geet" he said and led her upstairs

Meera fidgeted about nervously, then decided to watch some TV instead. Sameera stood up, coming up with a perfect plan.

Sameera: "She was going to make breakfast for us right?" she thought to herself and looked at the entrance that led to the kitchen.

Meera: "Where are you going?" she said looking up at Sameera

Sameera: "I'm just going to go get some water. It's been a long journey" she said

Meera nodded and Sameera entered the kitchen. Now, Sameera was standing in the kitchen.

Sameera: "I need some kerosene" she thought to herself and looked around the kitchen. She finally found the kerosene and poured it all over the cooker, around the kitchen, and on the entrance.

Maan on the other hand closed, and locked the doors and then walked over to Geet.

Maan: "I need to tell you something really important" he said and sat down on a chair

Geet: "Okay. What's wrong?"

Maan: "You know Sameera? She is... well she is Meera's sister. You know that don't you?" he said nervously

Geet nodded

Maan: "She used to like me when I finished university and she wanted me to marry her. I refused because I wanted to make a business of my own and I just wasn't ready for it. She told me that she would get revenge for refusing her, and that's probably why she was here. Please, don't go close to her. She is very cunning and I don't want to lose you" he said and stood up and walked over to Geet.

Geet listened to every word Maan said. She looked at Maan in shock. Then she was touched by what he said in the end.

Geet: "Don't worry. I'll beware of her" she said and Maan hugged her

Geet: "We should go now" she said

Maan nodded and both headed out of the room and went downstairs.

Maan sat down on the sofa beside Meera, and Geet went over to the kitchen to make breakfast. Sameera was on the other sofa and looked at Maan, excited about the plan that was going to happen just now.

Geet on the other hand was in the kitchen. Enhaling the strong smell of kerosene

Geet: "Kerosene ki smell?" she wondered but shrugged it off and went over to the cooker.

Geet took the ligher and lit the gas. A strong flame of fire spread on the cooker, then slowly travelled all around the kitchen.

Geet screamed.

Maan heard the scream. He immediately ran over to the kitchen, and was about to go inside but because of the fire he couldn't.

Meera also ran over and stood beside Maan not knowing what to do.

Sameera just watched the whole thing happening and smiled at her cunning plan. Then she met the dangerous glare of Maan. She immediately stopped smiling and looked away.

Maan: "Meera, go and get water, and some blankets, towels, fire extinguisher, anything and everything. HURRY!" he said, his heart was thumping so loudly he swore it could have crashed out of his body.

Meera hurried off to find the items Maan told her. Maan also did the same.

Geet, inside, coughed, and coughed.

Geet: "Maan!" she screamed out in pain because of the huge burn on her arm

Geet looked around to find a way of escape. She saw the windows, and tried to open them but they were locked. She also knew that the windows were shatter proof.

Geet: "M...Maan" she shouted weakly

Geet: "Maan" she said putting her hand to her head. Her eyes were slowly closing, and eventually she fell down to the floor.

Her saree pallu touched the flame, and now the pallu was on fire as well.

Meera and Maan on the other hand finally extinguished the fire that was blocking the entrance in to the kitchen. They both ran inside.

Maan: "Meera, extinguish the rest of the fire" he ordered and ran up to Geet.

Maan had come in the nick of time. If he didn't come any quicker, the fire would have reached Geet's back, and then. God knows what would have happend.

Maan quickly extinguished the fire on Geet's pallu, lifted her and took her out of the kitchen and lay her down on the sofa, and went back inside to help Meera.

Sameera, who was watching it all happen, walked up to Geet and put her finger on her neck to check her heartbeat. She was breathing.

Sameera: "UGH! My plan failed. Once again" she said a loud and looked at Geet disgustedly

Maan: "Yep. It did" he said

Meera looked at Sameera in angrily, then looked away

Meera: "I can't believe you did this Sameera!" she said

Maan: "I'll talk to you afterwards" he said angrily, and lifted Geet once again and took her to the hospital. Meera stayed with Sameera and looked at her disgustedly
