The sun beamed down across the sky and carmine shatfs from sun suffused the whole sky and made the total atmosphere magical, mystical & beatific. Onshore brisky gale,ripple of birds in the sky, and a redolence... is it the redolence of love??? Tarika stood at the Verandah like a beholder.She couldn't forget those words of the father of Mamta Foundation--- ha, Daya was a very good student. Jab woh char saal ka tha tab ekdin uska mamaji akar yaha pe rakh gaya tha.
(Flash back)
Tarika: mamaji!!!, matlab unka parents they?
father: ha, lekin they expired in an accident, Daya bach gaya tha.
Tarika couldn't say a single word to listen to father
father: bachpan se Daya kabhi bhi kisi ko pareshan nehi kiya, woh bohot chup rehta tha, shayad woh accident aur ek saath apne either parents ko kho dene ka gham woh kabhi bhi bhul nehi paya tha.
--pher? Uska mamaji kabhi bhi nehi aye? tarika asked
--nehi, kabhi nehi.Father answered.
tarika choked back her pain and stared at Father vacantly.
father smiled and said--- aap CID se ayi hain , haina?
Tarika waked up and answerd-- ha, Main Daya ka colleague hun.
father gave her a wry smile. after a couple of minutes silence said-- Daya kabhi bhi kisi se kuchh bhi nehi mangta hai,agar koyi pyar se use kuchh dete hai tab hi woh lete hai.
Father now gave her a photo and told -- ye photo holi ka thik ek din pehle ka hai,dekhiye to aap ki colleague ya ha pe dikhai deta hai ya nehi??
Tarika's eyes were desperately searching for someone..... and yess.... she got it... by this innocent, pure, smile.Daya was hardly 17 then and he was with his classmates, smiling his heart out. Tarika couldn't turned her eyes away from the photo. Daya was looking so childish, so innocent yet so mischivous his eyes were.
---Dr. Tarika. father called her with solemn voice
---yes, father can I take it?
--yes, of course and please give it to my child Daya, woh bohot khush ho jayega isko dekh ke.
Dr. Tarika shook hands with Father and said-- good bye father, main phir se a sakti hun,
father: yes my child, aur maat bhulna Daya kabhi bhi kuchh nehi mangta hai.
he again gave her that wry smile.

Tarika was reminisceing those words with a clod of agony within her heart.
--- tarika, tarika kaha ho tum? Dr. Salunkhe was calling.
Tarika: ha sir main yaha pe hun
Salunkhe: arrey, tum yaha pe andhere me akeli kya kar rahi ho?
Tarika: nehi sir, bas .... main..... soch rahi thi.....
Salunkhe: come on ab ye sochna bochna band karo aur chalo, main antakshari ka team bana liya, chalo ayo. Salunkhe went with excitement to play antakshari.
Tarika went to her room which was also shared by Devyana & Muskan.No one was there in the room.
She wore an off white zardari silk, let her hair to straggle,and got ready with a pearl jewellery set.She then came to the lawn where everybody was ready to play antakshari, but as she entered.... each & everyone.... boggled at her with ....
---d--o--c--t--o--r t--a--r--i--k--a!!!salunkhe couldn't pronounce better than this.
Abhijeet: kya baat hai Dr. , aaj to lag hi nehi raha hai ke aap ek dr. hai
fredricks: aj ap bilkul heroine lag rahe hai... Bipasha basu.
ACP Pradyuman: ( with a reprimand & basilisk stare) fredricks... shut up.
Devyana:(into the ears of Tarika) sach tarika , tum aaj bohot khubsurat lag rahi ho.
Muskan sniggered very rudely and turned her face away.
But where is he??? Tarika was searching.. but couldn't see daya.
--- Tarika, jis tarika se tumne hume surprise kiya, to mujhe lagta hai, is antakshari tumse hi shuru karna chaiye.
ACP: ha, chalo shuru karo jaldi
Tarika: lekin....
Salunkhe: lekin vekin kuchh nehi...
tarika was silent for few seconds & then started to sing:
Kaise piya se main kahu mujhe kitna pyar hai
Akho ko intezaar hai dil bekarar hai
Hoga milan apna mujhe ... aaetbar hai...
Akho ko intezar hai dil bekarar hai o ooooo

Muskan Sneered with disgust.vivek & Devyana nodded their head at each other to applaud tarika's voice. fredricks became thoughtful to think about his wife. Salunkhe was so much surprised that the song left him gaping at tarika with stupefaction.
Aayeng e jab woh samne
baho me main bhar lungi
manungi unki baat ko
unse zeed na karungi
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaa ooooooooo oooooooo
Her heart rending voice was indeed renting the air.
Abhijeet chuckled lightly and kept his eyes towards the bunglow.
chhane lagi hai madhhoshiya hai
Kya khumar hai
Akho ko intezar hai.....
Tarika stopped as she realised that it's an antakshari and she had to stop.
--- my God, Tarika, apne to aaj kamal hi kar diya,maine to socha tha ke aap sirf lash ko lekar chher chhar kar sakte hai, lekin aap to wake hi heroine nikli. salunkhe couldn't stop prasing his young assistant.
salunkhe: kyu acp shab, kuchh to boliye.
ACP: (raising one eyebrow) ha.
Everyone was praising Tarika, but suddenly she told-- main cell chhorke ayi hu, ek minute sir, aap log kheliye , main a rahi hu. tarika went without giving a chance to react anyone.
Muskan was furious & there was rancour in her eyes,she told pretending to be smiling-- sir main bhi cell bhul gayi hun, abhi ati hun main.

tarika there in the bunglow was searching everywhere for Daya,her heart was beating very rapidly & last she came to the terrace. Full moon was peeping through the scudding clouds and it seemed that the whole earth had bathed with the beams of the moonlight.Daya was staring at the moon with profound stoicism. His face was gleaming in moonlight & as Tarika reached nearer to him, his glistening eyes she didn't skip to notice.She became stupefied & sunk into deep reverie for the man standing just in front of her.She draped her arms around Daya from the backside & swathed him in her drenched affection. warm tears were rolling down her face, she couldn't understand from where tears were coming like an insane river.She was trying to get the warmth of Daya by her innermost emotion.After couple of minutes Daya turned himself and kept his eyes on tarika's. But both were silent, Tarika was trying to speak but her lips were shivering. her eyes were saying that she has consigned her everything to Daya.They cuddled up together like this for a few minutes and finally daya crooned-- ye kya kar rahi ho tarika?
Tarika: Kya? tarika was craving to speak out.
Daya: kyu ek bad naseeb pe apna sab kuchh luta rahi ho tum?
Tarika was gasping in excitement and again lost into the reverence & told--- Daya, jabse tumhe dekha......... aisa lagta hai...... ki.....
Daya: ki kya.... kya tarika?
tarika: ki .... kab se .. kitni yugo se ... tum ek suni raho me ...... akele... bhatak raha ho...... aur.. main... main bhi bhatak rahi hu... tumse milne .... ke .. liye. kitna pyase ho tum.....bachpan se zindegi ne .. tumhe... pyasehi .. chhor diya.... . kabhi... kabhi ... pyas bujhane ki... koshish bhi nehi kiya.... aur main... ek nadi... ho kar bhi kitni pyasi.... ab tak sochte raha..... aaj samajh payi hu.
Daya cupped Tarika's chin in his hand & whispered--- kya?
tarika: sagar se jo milna tha mujhe.
again she gazed deep into daya's eyes and cooed -- Daya, aaj main tumse kuchh mangnugi
--- mere paas to.... kuchh bhi nehi hai.... tumhe dene ke liye.. Daya told with a dolorous smile
--- Tumhara udasi mujhe de do Daya, tumhara har dard , har gham aaj mujhe de do Daya
Enmeshed in Tarika's embrace Daya told stifling his pain-- akelepan, tanhai ye koyi de sakte hai kya?
tarika was silent
Daya: karz jo reh jayega ....
Tarika: karz?? thik hai,tum karz chuka dena.
Daya: kaise???
tarika suddenly without wasting any moment snogged at Daya's parched lips.As waves quench the thirst of sand.
Daya: arrey, ye kya kar rahi ho? tarika..... aisa nehi....
tarika: (with a glinting mischief in eyes) karz chukana haina........
Daya smiled.... after a long and the glittering stars smiled as well to see spattering love between two swelled lover.
Muskan was roaring .... and snarled at tarika, enraged anger took tears in her eyes--- Daya sir... ye achchha nehi huya.

ACP was restless, he didn't even himself understand why he was so much restless. He asked Abhijeet-- achchha Abhijeet, Daya kaha hai, woh kyu nehi aye abhi tak??
Abhijeet:sir... woh to kaha ke uska tabiyat kuchh thik nehi hai, isliye bunglow par hi ruk gaye.
ACP:(frowning his eyes) aur dekho tarika aur muskan bhi abhi tak nehi aye, ye kya hai, aur salukhe mujhe bhi gana gane ki mood nehi ho raha hai.
salunkhe: arrey acp shab, woh log aa jayenge, aap to shuru ki jiye, maine "ka" se chhora tha, chaliye, gaiye.
ACP: nehi yaar main nehi, mujhe mood nehi ho raha hai, he went towards the fountain.
Salunkhe: acp shab, ye achchha nehi ho raha hai, mujhe maloom hai, ye, antakshari maine organise kiya hai, isliye tum aise ispe pani dalna .... he also went towards ACP.
seeing everyone silent Fredricks started to sing ---
kitni ajeeb rishtey hai yaha pe
do pal milte hai sath sath chalte hai
jab mor aye to bachke nikalte hai
kitni..
Abhijeet: bas bas freddy chup karo, bohot ho gaya, abhi kutte bhaukne lagenge
fredrics: arrey sir,mera gana aapko kutte ki bhauk lagta hai?
Vivek: freddy sir, ap itna pareshan kyu hote hai, main apka gana sununga, lawn pe chaliye pher mere sath tennis khelte khelte aap gana gayenge... he winked at Devyana and then again told-- chaliye na sir, pls,
Fredricks: thik hai chal, lekin mera gana tumhe sun na parega, ha, samjhe tum?
Vivek: ha sir, bilkul samajh gaya hu main.
fredricks & vivek went towards lawn.

here Devyana & Abhijeet were silent and that silence was making the atmosphere reflective.
finally devyana spoke out: sir, chaliye, hum akele yaha par baithe kya karenge?
Abhijeet: (with a very light smile) hum akele kaha hai, ek haina dusre ke sath,
devyana was confused and a little shy,
after a very little abhijeet asked-- devyana, tum to apni dost ke shadi me gayi thi na?
Devyana cowered her head and answered--- ha sir, bohot maza kiya waha pe, sab dost se mulaqat huya,sab milke bohot hi maza kiya hum logo ne,
Abhijeet whispered and muttered by himself--- dusro ko mazak karne ka mauka kab doge devyana?
Devyana: ha sir?? apne kuchh kaha?
Abhijeet: nehi... main ye kaha ke sab kab maza karenge jab tum mauka doge? he smiled very bashfully after finishing his words.
A pink flush spreaded all over her cheeks and she answered with a very low voice: siir... main... aur... shadi? ye .. to.. main soch bhi.. nehi.. sakti...hu..
Abhijeet answered very spontaneously & with great fervour--- kyu?? tum chadni ki tarah sundar ho, phulo ki tarah masoom ho, aur thande hawa ki tarah pabitra ho....abhijeet was in trance.
Devyana couldn't react for a few moments and when she those words reached to her heart then she just flinched away from there like a sparrow.... she ran & ran and very unfortunately bumped against Dr. salunkhe: kya huya devyana... tum....
devyana said sorry to Salunkhe and again started to run towards the bunglow, but salunkhe's eyes .... didn't forget to notice the pink flush over devyana and abhijeet sitting there chuckling lightly.
salunkhe: wooooo, to ye chakkar hai. achchha .. interesting...



Muskan rushed to her room and started to sob into her pillow,a mixture of anger, bitterness, agony was billowing within her heart.
She was astounded to see herself-- ya kya ho gaya mujhe? kyu itni taqleef ho raha hai? kya ye gussa hai? kyu? do pyar karne walo ko dekh ke kisiko to gussa nehi hona chaiye, kya ye dard hai? dono pyar karne walo ko dekh ke mujhe itni dard kyu ho ra ha hai? kyu? kyu? Muskan was unware when her roar converted into unbridble groan of pain.
Daya sir ke kareeb kisiko dekh ke mujhe itni jo taqleef hota hai, ye to main pehle kabhi nehi samjhi,woh to kitna has raha tha, tarika ko pa kar kitna khush ho gaya, pher mujhe kyu khushi nehi mil rahi hai? kya iska naam hi pyar hai? Muskan bit her lips with her teeths in indescribable pain.
Her mind was wandering in the past: as she was thinking about the moment when Daya saved her from a drunkard ruffian in a bar.She was thinking of another case where Acp sir sent her for spying on a drug pedlar and here also Daya sir went with her even against the wish of ACP sir.
" Sir, woh jagah bohot khatarnak hai, Muskan ko akela jana nehi chaiye, main chalta hun uske saath"
" Daya, come on, Muskan sensible hain, use bhala bura samajh me ate hai"
" nehi sir, main chalta hu uske peechhe,hume use akela chhorna nehi chaiye"
It seemed to Muskan that she again listened to those words and again again words were reverbrated in the air.How much she was thinking her love was burgeoned rapidly for Daya.Kyu Tarika ne sab kuchh aise chhin liya? kyu?
A dreary tune was wafted along by the breeze, is it mocking at her??

barse jo rang itne sare
Rangi huye sab nazare
lekin mera dil kahi bhi
lagta nehi bin tumhare
tumko ... bas tumko
dil dhunde, dil maange
jane kyu har lamha... ye sitam hai
aur main hun .ye sitam hai aur main hu

The next Day is Holi and she felt as if every drop of colour had been squeezed out of her. she burst into a heart rending loud squeal.



Daya & Tarika were snuggled up against each other and along with the world, they were also bathing with the tender moonlight. Daya told with wavering voice-- Tarika, tumne to mujhe kuchh kehne ki mauka hi nehi diya... main tumse
Tarika breathed in Daya's ear: tumhe kuchh kehna nehi hoga, main sab janti hun,
Daya desperately said--- Tarika, maloom hai tumhe..... main anath hu? bachpan se ek anath ashram me pale bare?
Daya was expecting some answer from tarika and he just waiting for that with flummoxed eyes, but Tarika didn't answer & goggled with rapture for sometime and then said--- tum kuchh bhi samajh te nehi ho, hum dono pichhle janam ka bichhda huya sathi hun, .......... Daya, kal... holi ke shubh pal me aise kuchh karna ... ta ki mere man se tumhare lagaya huya rang kabhi na dhul jaye....
Daya didn't utter any word and just gave a coy smile to Tarika.


Devyana was writing a letter to her mother. yes, she has that habit of writing letters to her near & dear ones,her freinds laughs at her that why in this era of mailing, smsing, she writes letter, but she just can't express her feelings without writing letters, and here what is happening she isn't able to understand till now,
ye abhijeet sir jo kuchh bhi keh reh the , ..... kya woh dil se ....
nah, devyana was even shy enough to think that incident by alone,
she was writing: pehli bar holi me tumse dur hun, lekin socho maat ma, kyunki ye jagah itni khubsurat hai, jab se ayi hun, lag raha hai ke ye jahan, ye asman, fiza, ek dusre ki sath holi khel raha hai... aur main.. main bhi to

Devyana startled to hear her name... and who is standing there and calling her? she was completely staggered and could only mumble: Abhijeet sir, Aap???
