Frankly if they had their way no one apart from Shivaji Satam would featured in their list. He is the face of CID ever since it started. Do you really think they select based on performances? Duo have given many noteworthy performances in the past which really deserved recognition but what happened? In all this years Daya got the most handsome actor award or something similar to which he has not contribution, credit to his parents. As performers they never got anything and frankly the kind of stuff they are stuck with now, I doubt there will be opportunities to give a standout performance.

Now with age and time constrains due to ever increasing frequency of CID episodes SS will not be as readily available as before. So now they need a new face of CID but that face can't be from the new crop, it has to be one among the two pillars and they have clearly chosen Daya for it. Starting his participation in JDJ last year, Interview with Shekhar, he is given more exposure and nomination is just for the same visibility. These are all channel tactics, hocus-pocus of show business.

About winning the award, they did not get when they deserved and now I think they are better of without these scripted awards.
