Number of days I missed. Normally I miss 6, this time I missed 7. Remember I started at 6.30 just an hr before iftar?

Now the recommended fasts for the month of Shawwal are from 4th to 9th (6 days). I am wondering if I should fast till 10th and get it done with. Or finish 6 now and worry about the last one later.

What wld Soni, Fari or La (Laaa ) think when they read this convo? 😆

Do the whole fast as you will feel good about it and it will be done with.

They will think Saiyu is teaching and K is learning 😃

To fast in Hindi is roza rakhna, rakhna which otherwise means to keep something somewhere.

Now cut to Azra:

Di/ Jiju: Azra tu roza rakh rahi hain?

A: Haan rakhi toh

D/J: Kitne rakhi?

A: Paanch

D/J (just for fun): Kidhar rakhi???

A: Mummy ke cupboard main rakhi toh

😆

Only Hajj is compulsory and even that on only those who can afford it.

Visit to every other place is optional but highly recommended.

I can explain from Shia perspective. Rest Fari, Sami or Soni can fill you in.

We of course visit Mecca for Umrah and the visit to Holy Prophet (saww)'s grave and his daughter's (Fatema (s.a) and a few Imams' graves (as) (Imams are people we follow after the Holy Prophet, these Imams also happen to be H.P's grandsons). There are many Prophets buried here too

Iraq for the visit to the grave of Imam. Ali (as) (he was also married to B. Fatima- the H.P's daughter. The only Imam who is not the grandson but the son-in-law and nephew of the H.P) and a few other Imams. Iraq has the grave of about 60 other Prophets.

Iran for the only Imam who had migrated out of Arabistan due to certain reasons and had to live with the Persians.

So, there are 14 important people whose grave we visit. Then the Prophets who graves are known. And we also visit the graves of the important companions of the H.P (saww) and the Imams (as) who did a lot for Islam

That is where you went last year to visit a few holy grave, right?

When can/cannot you take the Haj? Own money or borrowed money?

I am also aware that Jerusalem is the city where all three religions are born and to a great extent marriage between these three religions is accepted
