Super narrative I’m trying to find in the film? It’s in the film lol…i watch what he made …not what I think he’s made from his interviews …
Again, showing something is not endorsing something …if a women is shown attempting to mend a relationship because she is invested in it for whatever reason (love, kids), that’s not a sign of her weakness ….or subservience …showing this is not mysoginy particularly given the woman gets a very lengthy and elaborate scene to express her anguish …and even makes a decision to leave the relationship she’s given everything to
Social media is used by teens …responsibility lies with people sharing the content to know their audience …
Trying to 'fix' a domestic abuser who uses sexual coercion (showing titilating videos when she gets angry) is not a sign of love or strength or normalcy. It's a deeply traumatised and abused psyche.
Domestic abuse is a penalised crime in India. Which this films fails to show and hence not demonising the said abuser.

Yep it’s deeply traumatised and a toxic relationship …which dosent hold and splits and breaks apart …as it should …I.e a consequence
Lmao, the protagonist isn’t even going to jail for the several murders he does …ur expecting him to go to jail for domestic abuse?
There is no law and order here …thats the setup …Ala John wick
his “punishments” are his own relationships, his mental and physical well being …which he dosent have …
If anything this topic has brought back some of my friends I was missing terribly
Now celebrating would be so much fun thx TM

You did not compare this to john wick lol.
John Wick is set in a hyperreal mafia set-up. Furthermore, he is a assassin-by-trade. It isn't glorified, it is just a matter of fact. It shows very little of actual relationships, or people for that matter.
That franchise makes no commentary on gender roles. If anything, it casted trans actors in very power roles. John Wick is comparable to this film as much as harry potter is lol
Errr yeh except I never mentioned anything abt the trans or gender depictions and what not
It’s a film that is set in a space where law and order does not exist
And so is this
Again, don’t need to extrapolate needless comparisons that I didn’t make …just made the comparison of it being set in a law less land ..

I know everyone's happy for Ranbir and everything. But I think we should stop celebrating the success of this film. Past few days have made me realize that Our country is still not ready to see a character like Ranvijay for the pyshopath that he is.
People are making memes against woman, Feminism, and laughing at abuse. Idealising him.
Vanga presented that pyscho as a hero and Men are lapping it up.
This celebration of box office success might feel like validating such people more.
I know you don't support Vanga or the film or the characters. But still let us nor celebrate this at all
It's just send out a wrong Message.
I have reliaze it and I hope you will understand too.
Thanks.
Most production houses aren't caught up in the socio-political brownie-points of the day,
but they are more concerned in the potential for their commercial films to make lots of money
Lol, it kinda did and I can’t wait to hear why this role didn’t work outOriginally posted by: FatalFlaw
Unlike Ranveer Teresa, always so ethical and careful about the influence and impact his movies have on youth and society, right? I bet he'd give his arm for a role like Animal if it had come his way.
