I think its all out of desperation to get a Box office hit. This movie has given him the hype he wanted. He doesn't care about the movies political incorrectness or impact on youth or whatever. Plus this movie gives him a image makeover from chocolate boy/man-child image to a Alpha male.

It's obvious rk simply did this film for box office, and vanga simply made it for box office. Neither cared about the influence of the film or the misogyny and toxicity it shows. They'll both say its just creative freedom and if you don't like it then don't watch it, no responsibility will be taken.

Unlike Ranveer Teresa, always so ethical and careful about the influence and impact his movies have on youth and society, right? I bet he'd give his arm for a role like Animal if it had come his way.

I’m seriously shocked iin some comments esp those looking forward to seeing a part 2 animal park I heard . So the Kapoor lad more into minting money then his own conscience. Venga on the other hand as no conscience

And so what? Agar woh bhi karta toh even then the film/his choice would have been worthy of criticism. This "tera fave bhi karta toh mere fave ko kaiku bol rahi hai" is a damn reductive deflection.

We all live in the society where this movie is being applauded by many people not because how oscar-worthy x's performance was but because they agree with the theme and politics of the movie. This movie validates their internalised hatred for women. They will be emboldened and the teenagers/children will think it's cool.

If x was replaced by y, the impact and the damage done by the movie would still have been same. And unlike x/y's generational wealth and social capital, we all would bear the brunt of it irrespective of which multimillionaire any of us stans.

Something everyone is forgetting is that Vanga made this movie to intentionally hurt women because he didn’t like how Kabir was criticized for being problematic. He actually promised to do worse officially on camera but yes let’s all pretend this is a movie done for creativity and entertainment.

Anyone who’s using movies from decades ago to excuse Animal is kidding themselves. Yes, movies have always had some toxic and problematic elements to them but as a society we have improved or at least we thought we did but when you see films like Animal and what men are doing on social media then it’s scary to think this is a reality and no amount of blaming game and pointing fingers is going to change that fact.

I didn't. Irrespective of whether y's stan would have called out the film if y had done the film or not; it doesn't nullify their right to criticise the actor x who did this film. Also, if everyone in the industry would have given an arm to do a rapey-film like this, all of them would have deserved the bashing too

Save the "I-am-not-like-thooose-girls" condescension for someone else. Lol
