Yes. I didn’t intend to fast though. Sometimes I just don’t feel like eating the next day after I eat if I am staying home. I came from work on Monday where I had last eaten at 2pm. So then I didn’t feel like eating the next day meaning yesterday when I was staying home and then today my sleep got disturbed due to many phone calls. So I slept during the day. Then I thought it’s night anyways now and I unintentionally already fasted for 2 days already. So I will just sleep to break the fast tomorrow so it becomes 72 hours fast which I wanted to do for few weeks to lose the last 5 pounds I have been trying for so long. But now I kept craving something very cold and thought to order ice cream, but then I remembered I have cut watermelon in the fridge and I love watermelon. So now I am eating that a bit. 🤦🏻♀️😒

OMG I would have a blinding headache by now. I’ve been laying in bed for the longest time now and it’s 2pm. I can feel my stomach growling in hunger. How I wish I was young again, with a fast metabolism. Those were the days when I used to eat anything and everything without gaining a kilo.
Now it just feels like even drinking water will make me gain weight 🤦🏽♀️

I know it’s such a struggle. But you should go eat something. I don’t know if I had fast metabolism because I was always chubby ever since I started getting period. But I was never obese either except the few months in 2019 when I suddenly gained weight due to eat outside cakes etc.
I read your post on first page and was thinking to reply, but I was feeling very weak and having at that time. I see that you eat mostly carbs and snacks which again has mostly carbs too. Those carbs are simple carbs and will make you hungry fast and make you gain weight too. I know you feel like you have to eat those and can’t stop, but you have gotten used to eating them so you feel that way. You’ve to change your taste buds to enjoy eating healthy food. Start to limit those slowly and eat more protein, fat and vegetables too. You don’t have to cut those carbs but slowly decrease it. And you can eat more complex crabs like rice, potatoes, etc as long as your under maintenance calories and they are not fried or something which will increase the calories due to oil. In the beginning it will be hard but you will slowly change your taste buds and you will love it with the way you feel when you eat healthy food. I now put 1 tbsp to maximum 2 tbsp of oil in one cup of raw rice when I am cooking. I am from Afghan culture and though we don’t eat fast food the way we cook is unhealthy and very similar to south Asians like frying most vegetables and putting so much oil in rice. So I have successfully limited oil now with the exception of eggplant which require more oil as it absorbs it fast. But all other dishes now I make don’t and actually taste better for me. I roast the vegetables in 1-2 tbsp rather than frying in huge amount oil like the way my culture makes most dishes. I also love Indian/Pakistani food and sometimes I am lazy to cook. So I order those, but they keep putting lots of oil. Some restaurants don’t but most do. So I call them to put less oil which they listen as much as they can to put the least oil. So that’s how I have been doing. And I love rice 😂 My struggle is mostly cakes or deserts though. I keep craving them or more like when I am really sad and want to make myself happy or if happy then to treat myself. I hate that because last time it made me obese which never happened before. So I have been really trying my best to not order those because it’s not just the cake itself. It’s that it has lots of sugar and that makes one addicted so one wants to keep eating again and again and that’s what leads to weight again. That’s how it happened to me last time. Sugar is a drug and literally makes one addicted. That’s you are also keep eating those simple carbs because those do have sugar.

I have the worst diet found in mankind. I skip breakfast because if I eat in the morning, then it’ll increase my appetite and I’ll end up munching on food the whole day. By skipping breaky, it’s easier for me to fast until around 2-3pm. That’s when I eat my first meal of the day (which almost always is a heavy carb meal i.e. pasta, burger, chips, rice, etc).
That’ll fill me up until evening, where I’ll nibble on some snacks (potato chips/crisps, junk of some sort). Then I’ll feel like shit for all of the above and vow that I’ll never eat again. I stay strong until 11pm, and then the negotiation begins. “This will be my last time eating junk. I’ll wake up early in the morning and exercise everything that I ate out of my body. I’ll have some laxatives to flush out what I just ate - blah blah blah”. So basically, it’s midnight and I’m eating carb-heavy once again. I then torture myself and watch Katrina Kaif dancing to Kamli. I put some hot chicks photo as my phone wallpaper so it’s the first thing I see and I set up my alarm to wake up extra early for a morning workout.
I then snooze my alarm every single day and repeat the above. 🙂
It’s not just you who thinks that’s way about breakfast. When I was searching how to lose weight, what is calories etc, I came across many people saying how breakfast makes them more hungry or how it’s just cereal and other breakfast related companies propaganda to spread how breakfast is the most important meal to make them a profit. Those people were like we just drink coffee or tea and don’t eat anything for breakfast. I live in USA and omg here almost all breakfast related meals do have lots of calories and sugar. And then I realized no wonder I was gaining weight with eating those cereals, croissants, donuts, etc. I still eat breakfast because it’s my favorite meal. I eat mostly eggs and I know how to make eggs in many different ways at home lol. I also eat oatmeal on other days and I love it. Sometimes and very rarely I make pancakes or that milk Malia if I am craving those. If I am outside, then I only order mostly egg related breakfasts because egg is protein and it will keep you satiated for a long time. Besides I really really love eggs and all other breakfasts outside are very unhealthy for to eat.
So I only eat 2 meals in a day. Breakfast and then large meal for lunch/dinner around 6pm-9pm or May be later times depending when I feel like me eating.

At this point I don't even know whether it helps or not 😭. It hasn't made me gain weight but lately I started shedding a lot of hair. When I put my hair in a ponytail it feels like it's a lot lighter than what it used to be. I don't know what else to blame it on so I self diagnosed myself and blamed it on my long hours of fasting and eating too little calories. I think I just fast because I hate packing lunch to work and all the restaurants around tend to have unhealthy food. I know I can always get a salad but I am big on washing my lettuce not dying from E.Coli so I try not to eat salads from outside.
Keep bhune hue kale chane in your office desk. Eat them when your 16 hrs of fasting is done. They are great source of protein. Doesn't spoil and mess up place. You can easily replenish the stock.
I am sorry for this unsolicited advice. But hairloss is a pain I don't want anyone to go through so I couldn't resist being a mashwara begum here.

You’re Afghan? OMFG. Same here! 😱 I literally couldn’t process anything else after reading that sentence 🤣 For a split second I had a heart attack when I read you’re from the US. I have family there so freaked out but thought had you been my cousin, you’d recognise my shameless ass already 😆
I had to re-read everything again. Thank you for such a detailed outline of everything. It was really helpful and informative.
