Should the end justify the means in all cases? He could abuse her, control her, take away her self respect, ability to think and act for herself- just because he loves her. It has a debilitating effect on his life- is that really repentance? Its a choice he made of his own volition. Did Preethi ask him to throw away his life? No. However, his choices had disasterous effects and probably left deep trauma scars on her. Ask any of your female friends who have ever acquired an over-enthusiastic admirer. The one who follows you home, never lets you out of their sight. Its horrible. The minute you romanticize this behaviour in your "anti-hero" hero and project it as desirable and it all working out in the end. How many people will now go all out in harassing the object of their affection- because if it worked out for Kabir Singh..it will work out for me too eventually? Dont tell me its just a movie. All the women of this forum must have been catcalled, harassed with BW songs and catch phrases- life does imitate art in the sub-continent.
