So What if Kabir Singh Is Misogynistic

I havent watched the film, but even if it is misogynistic...so what ? Isnt that the truth and world that we are living in? I am sure the movie isnt PROMOTING it or making it seem okay. But why should we hide things that actually exist in the world?

Maybe by watching it we can realize whats wrong

Audiences have no problem supporting a criminal like Sanju, and washing away his sins with cows milk and making it seem like hes a victim. Audiences have no problem with Salman KHan running over people with his car...things they are doing IN REAL LIFE. So all of that is okay?

Ranbir is stud for changing women like bed-sheets...and hes a youth icon? Same journalists who complain about these things are teh same ones who are fans of the above mentioned stars.

Even I haven't seen the movie, neither the original.......... but THAT is the crux of the argument against it......... that it IS PROMOTING misogynist behavior........ they are showing the the male lead as some sort of HERO for treating the girl like that......

I can argue that he looses the girl when he acts like a jerk and in the end gets her when he has lost everything, so that should be the lesson for people thinking of stalking the girl who refuse them ........but I haven't seen the movie, so maybe this is just my assumption.........

Isnt the movie a copy of a regional film that itself was ripped of Denzel Washington Flight ??

Well then people need to use their own brain and understand that it is wrong. They show lots of things in movies, that doesnt mean people need to follow suit. Maybe the movie is ABOUT a misogynistic man?

I dont get the outrage on movie when u have real issues to deal with. There are movies where men r shown so evil. There is no outrage. If people take this movie stuff seriously its their stupidity.. Movies are for fun not for life lesson. If u wanna watch life lessons, kinda watch art movie. Makers are here to make money. Even movies like veere de wedding shows men in such bad light, but was there an outrage? Critics loved it lol.

For me paisa vasool movies matters. A overall movie which is entertaining. Plus slapping scene in movie infact shows reality of many abusive relations in real life and the people who cheers them in theatre are pathetic.

A critic who went for movie had idea about how it is like that only and still went to watch and felt offended lmao. When these writers already knew that from south version.

Plus not everytime hero should be good. A movie which shows hero treating heroine badly also shows the face of many relations and shows all boyfriends are not like they show in most movies🤡i must say a very different way to show the actual side. Plus they are here to sell the movis but not to make some outrage sjws happy who wont make a dent in movie collections

Even if someone tells that the makers have promoted Kabir Singh as a hero by treating his girl like this, I would not agree with them coz the story has clearly shown how much the guy has lost everything in his life due to his compulsive behavior that he ended up choosing a self-destructive path as an addicted person. He had lost his grandma, his girlfriend ended up marrying somewhere else and for months Kabir allowed himself to get suffered. Then he underwent treatments and his behavior surely got developed by time after he recovered from the addiction. He repented enough to get back what he had in his life.

The story and its characters surely have different dimensions and the story is deep, one just needs to understand what message it actually wanted to deliver the audience.

Even Shahid Kapoor told in a promotional interview, "Don't be a Kabir Singh." That's what enough to understand what the movie is all about.

But movies are supposed to be preachy........in fact all form of art is.......or rather is expected to be...... there is a reason most movies have the good win over the evil in the end........ There is a reason depressing movies dont work that well..........

Salman's age isnt something good or evil to talk about........ but how a lead behaves and what he gets in return of that behavior, is a major part of every story.........

Again, as per my opinion.......... i think it wouldnt have mattered if they had showed how a misogynist man looses everything cause of his misogynist nature......and gets back everything when he changes into a better person............ maybe they didnt show it that way, and that is why the backlash.........but again I am saying maybe, cause I havent watched either of the movies.........just read the story on wiki.......
