You can give it a try.. It was a timepass watch for me.

Problem is Anushka-Ranbir cannot convey romantic tension as a couple. They always end up looking like silly besties.

The movie isn't that bad as it's made out to be. You can watch it if you like Hollywood styled gangster noir films, otherwise you will find it boring. Yes, it's slow paced and in the starting, you will wonder that what the hell is going on!!! The movie is no masterpiece, but it isn't a crap either. The movie was a disaster coz Kashyap was a fool to make a niche movie on such a high budget.

If anyone interested try "boardwalk empire" also.. it got similar theme as bombay velvet.. I think anurag copied many things from this show only even ranbir's character johnny seems to be inspired from the character jimmy.. I have watched only first season yet but loved it thoroughly ..

^ I loved Boardwalk Empire. Steve Buscemi is amazing but I watched it mainly for Kelly. I love watching her British movies.

To TM,
If you are serious about wanting to see different kind of movie, then answer is yes. If you have opened this topic to get few post of IF indulging in RK bashing, then answer is obvious.😆

The movie is based on gangster movies in Hollywood. So you will need to adjust your expectations. The sets, costumes are awesome. I actually liked all the actors. They did their best. It is an experience. Not a perfect one but still good. 😊
