It is funny we are lynching the very guy who works most with his co-stars from 90's as much as he can. A better person to ask this question is Akshay, Aamir or Salman. I have never seen them work them with any of their older co-stars.

Sexist it might be but does audience watch movies with Madhuri, Kajol Or Juhi as a lead. I heard females in theatre during Tamasha, call "Deepika" old and that she is losing her looks. Aish was called powered doll in ADHM. "Kitni Buddhi dikhti hai" was the general sentiment. It sounds very harsh but looks are important for females in commercial movies.

It is a bitter reality.

Its okay SRK. You don't have to "support" anyone. Let them fend for themselves. Although the last time you "supported" Juhi and Madhuri was 15 years ago. And we all know why you "supported" Kajol. 😉

Anyways, SOME people don't need to be supported so that we don't have to endure them and their "performances" anymore. If everyone would stop supporting mediocre talent we wouldn't have to endure performances like this one:

AND this one:

And ESPECIALLY this one 🤣

^^^ *GASP*
How dare you!

OT: There's nothing SRK can do to make 90s heroines as popular again. Giving them roles in movies like Dilwale will give them a Blockbuster but they still need to be able to make a movie work on their own. It's the audience whose mindset has to change and stop calling them as "aunties/she looks old". But, once again, we will just push the blame on to the stars.

Filmmakers are to be blamed for this
audience will see what they are served

If salman works with madhuri in next dabaang it will definitely help her

similarly aamir should work with juhi in his next

And shilpa shety has a good figure, she can definitely do dhoom 4 as the heroine

The 90;s actress do need to be given that platform again to shine

I do think he was patronizing when he stated he has done everything he can to give them roles. But Shahrukh is one of those few actors who gives his co-stars all the credit, he has always stated that he'd always be grateful to Juhi and Madhuri as they worked with him when he was not a star but they were! His admiration for them I feel is darn well known.

The fact that women after a certain age don't get offered the kind of roles that men do isn't just a problem that exists in our industry. I don't think the audience should be blamed for it considering there are plenty of us out there who'll still love to see a Madhuri or a Juhi opposite Shahrukh. But is there a section of the audience who want to see younger faces too? Sure! It's the hypocrisy that exits in the very society we live in! You expect the women out there to take a backseat after they are married or have kids so the same is in a way reflected in the industry too. Although there are some exceptions out there. Both Madhuri and Juhi have been appreciated for their performances in quite a few movies that they did after marriage and having kids. It's the question of opportunity. How many are willing to write quality roles for women in their 40's or 50s! How many are willing to produce such movies where female actors in their mid 40s or 50s have quality roles!

He is right and its bitter truth. Atleast SRK tries to work with Kajol. Others have not worked with them at all.

Rani is in Madhuri and Juhi group now 😲 she can still make a movie on her own ...Mardaani ?
Sakshi was never a BW actor and the role she did was never the main female heroine of the movie but a supporting character , it can easily be done by the likes of Madhuri and juhi too if they want to.

Uh! In which world these film people live! if today world of Indian cinema has started changing, more of story based, beautiful films are being churned out; because viewers choice has changed. Then their minds have also opened for these yesteryear divas! I mean we still miss these superstars; for me personally any of these heroines mentioned stand on a ground above today's actresses. I'll watch any of them any day for their tremendous talent, magnificent screen presence and because their talent deserves an equal chance; like their male counterparts!

I wish they grow up and realise to at least try and make efforts to know what people want actually! Give them good roles and scripts! Such a sexist industry! They cannot play heroines; but they can play performance oriented, strong roles. :(
