Well, SRK did Dilwale with Kajol, and he played Ash's ex-husband in ADHM.
Its the audience's fault if they want to see younger actresses even if the young ones cannot act, like Shraddha, Jackie, etc.
Madhuri's comeback films didnt work at the BO...same with Preity. So audience rejected them.

Sridevi's comeback film worked because she did a deglamorized role of a housewife/mother.

Typical heroine roles with glamor, dance numbers, flowerpot roles wont suit the mature actresses, wont be fair to them either as they are mostly good actresses and their talent shd be justified with good meaty roles.

On this very forum, Ash has been called auntie many times, although she looks more gorgeous than many young heroines.
This is what SRK wanted to say that the business/ commercial side of moviemaking doesnt allow producer/directors to sign the 90s actresses as the audience wants to see Alia. Shraddha, Jackie, ...

I bet if someone brought a good script for a mature love story, SRK would be the first to do it, with 90s actresses as female lead.
If only the film writers had a mature mindset and didnt only cater to the masses.

I hope SRK does a movie soon, with Ash or Juhi...Preity has botched up her face and Rani is in semi retirement with her little baby...but would LOVE to see SRK Kajol pair up again! ⭐️

Though shes not from the 90s, but would LOVE to see SRK Vidya pairing too!

LMAO. 🤣 Oh i dared didnt i.

Oh i love her. She kicked butt in that movie. She can chop me into a million pieces with that knife and i still wouldn't complain.

20 years later and her role is still memorable. She stole the show from the rest with er iconic performance. I'll bet you 20 years from now Isha will still be remembered. Cant say much about the mediocre one though. When beauty and family connections will end the mediocre one will be a distant memory from the past.

When SRK does it "Oh ,it is the bitter truth" when others do it "sexist assholes" 😆 😆
Someone pull the thread when Salman wanted to make one of his heroines play mother. 😆 😆 and see the hypocrisy.

Sexist Moron.

Sakshi was never a BW actor and the role she did was never the main female heroine of the movie but a supporting character , it can easily be done by the likes of Madhuri and juhi too if they want to.

Same goes to Kajol too...CP wrote abt not working with older costars which is not the case...if they want to,that's imp who knws whether they would/won't mind playing an older char onscreen? In all Madhuri's comeback movies she never played an older char nor a supporting char...

Its okay SRK. You don't have to "support" anyone. Let them fend for themselves. Although the last time you "supported" Juhi and Madhuri was 15 years ago. And we all know why you "supported" Kajol. 😉

seriously..honest,truthful when convenient or taken in humor when required..luck ho to aisa😆apne waale ka to bad luck hi kharaab hain, baaki sab first class hain😳

See that was rhetorical question for fans of all stars to dig into memory. If you start looking into the history there will be incidence where every today's super star must have tried at least once to pair with stars with whom they were previously comfortable.
When you work with someone for long you can focus on your act without having to think about your co-star's action. Trade and audience finally dictate what they want to see on screen. So just blaming actors is not right. SRK has tried numerous times to act with his old co-star. So his action is his answer.
I am interested in others because we need their outlooks. Aamir who knows movie business, Akshay who gave up too soon, Salman's answer would best because he is very forthcoming (no offense but others are way too diplomatic) and knows box office pulse much better.

Shahrukh is one of the most selfish, ruthless and money hungry personalities in the film industry. The mere fact that he hopped on the bandwagon and got the king of vulgarity (who writes degrading songs like "Main Hoon Balatkari") to "sing" for his home production a few years ago just because he was the flavour of the season at the time shows that he'll do anything for success. I lost my respect for him a long time ago and his sexist reasoning for why he doesn't work with older actresses is now the final nail in the coffin. My love for you is gone sir. 🤢

When did he take older actresses in his films otherwise to make such sexist comments?

Srk and Kajol are the exception though, as they're universally loved from DDLJ/KKHH

Rani's making a comeback.
Karishma, madhuri, juhi all of them did films which flopped. Aish is lucky enough to be trim and somewhat youthful that she doesn't look old paired against a ranbir.

But sridevi did a wonderful comeback. But she doesn't need a male superstar to make her films a hit.

Blame goes to the writers for not thinking and creating such innovative stories. Drishyam movie and the wife could easily be a Karishma range actress. They took shriya instead. She wasn't convincing. So whose fault??
