It's upto and only a Government's right to decide if it wants to have a cultural exchange with another country with which we are currently facing a war-like situation. As simple as that.

This is just like Trump threatening to kick out all Mexicans.

Ind and Pak play only together in ICC organized matches only. They haven't played a full bilateral series from 2007 till now only a short series in ICC 2012 in India. Ind vs Pak cricket was subject to govt clearance at everytime for bilateral series.


BCCI didnt had any probs if Pak umpires or commentators working here at that time Bcci was aiming to solve situation btw the two... But after this attack n BCCI president comments now it has shutted the door for any bilateral matches.


Ongoing series of Ind vs NZ are full of Ind and NZ commies. Situation right now has gone from bad to worse n its now impossible to have series together now.

Now I know some smart alecs will saying I am trying to divert the topic but I am just trying to understand why there are two sets of standards for two professions.

Yes there was discussions for a bilateral series but it got shut after Pathankot . IPL has not had a Pakistani player after the first 2 years.

Modi's speech is as rhetorical. The pressure on Govt is different. If we scream and demand that Pakistan be declared a terrorist country or a failed state, then we need to start by practicing it ourselves.

Govt cannot attack the terrorist camps- War

Govt cannot stop Indus - War

Then how does this Govt respond given the popular narrative in it's own country?

Anyone with an iota of an idea about the geographical challenges of Ind-Pak border would understand it's difficult to seal it off completely.

On Topic- It\s stupid to threaten the actors and it reflect badly on the country. But if ever Govt decides to stop all forms of communication with Pakistan or an exchange, it is entitled to do so. It will never stop terrorism but it will make the case against Pakistan .

In Olympics its an Nation decision purely to participate in it its same like bilateral series in cricket where u can opt out coz that's btw 2 countries series not ICC tournament.

And u can't say u can't play against Pak coz its ICC tournament n its the governing body of cricket u have to play and if you didn't you have to pay penalty for it. And this point of time there is doubt that Ind would participate in CT 2017 co of having some tiff with ICC. And ICC schedule those matches coz it earns them in million of dollars.
