Yes...*sigh*...Uri attack in 2016 first ban...2019 Pulwama attack (strengthening the ban) ... then 2023 the High Court in Mumbai found "no merit" in the banning of Pakistani actors working in the Hindi filmindustry...Fawad came back for a Hindi movie...and - bang - the Pahalgam killings happened and the new ban with it (now including social media presence of highly popular stars)... btw, did Pakistan retaliate by banning the social media presence of highly popular Indian stars?

God knows. We didn't get any news on that. I read that many Indians are using VPN to see pak stars instagram and social media.

And rightly so (imo). The entertainment industry is a soft target - and after religion far too often misused for political reasons.

The BW-forum isn't the place to discuss the partition, but if one goes back in history, it clearly wasn't the Indian People's wish but imposed on them by the British who became tired to deal with such a big country with so many religions...it also were the British who made religions a political tool already before agreeing to the Independance... it was them who draw the lines.

I would not say soft target, when conflict happens, everything related to pakistan gets banned here then after few years things go back to normal.
