Yea I remember 😆 That mirror scene was very well done.

But whichever way they turn the story, Ratan Singh sorta comes off looking slightly weak for allowing a man like Khilji to get access to his wife considering how very protective men were back then about their wives. I think in SLB's version, Padmini might end up sacrificing to protect Ratan and their family from Khilji's wrath, that is IF he portrays Khilji as the lust filled crazy king he was rather than some love lorn fool.

She does eventually agree to see the king because her husband asks hr to, right?

The story makes Ratan out to be quite weak - On hearing this, desperate Ratan Singh saw a chance to escape the fury of the emperor and retain his kingdom. Therefore, he agreed to show his wife to the emperor. - I doubt anyone will root for such a guy.

She agrees after a lot of cajoling and was actually devastated at having to do so.. Depends.. See if they show him in a doubt but seeing his people and thinking of their sufferings, he decided to make a compromise despite the inner battle for the greater good

It all depends on how the stuff is shown, something in which I have zero belief in SLB

Sony usually ends up having some preyty good shows but they SUCK at promoting their shows in their own channel and always focus on CID 😆 Thus leading to low trps and many shows ending up cut off.
