Alauddin Khilji is not a villain, he is anti-hero

Khilji ruled present day India, Pakistan and Bangladesh at one point of time. He defended his kingdom several times and bravely fought to save his dynasty. so how is he a complete evil character?

He was a strategist and military commander who commanded forces across the Indian subcontinent. Sultan Ala-ud-din Khilji is also noted in history for being one of the few rulers in the world to have repeatedly defended his empire against Mongol invasions. Just because he loved a married woman you can't call him evil. In that sense Bajirao is also evil. He married a bit*h Mastani when he has lovely wife Kashi. 🤢




Khilji is not a villain, he is anti-hero. SLB should not show him as a complete evil character in Padmavati.

He was a treacherous ruler and was very biased towards his religion

He did not love a married woman alone.. In fact, he is known to have raped women after conquering their lands so no, this is no anti -hero.. its an out and out negative character.. He must have fought to save his land but he also used his power to conquer women

bhansal should focus on khilji life other wise what he will show khilji as obsess love when he never met or saw padma this is so confusing how magic of obsession will creat

Killing and raping conquered folks was the norm back then.
I think I read a book on Humayun who once did the same thing but realized the mistake soon after. He was the least successful amongst the Mughal emperors but he was the most kind one too.
Back in those days, when a son inherited the emperor's position, the norm was to kill off other brothers so that they never could rebel or conspire against the king.
And it is a movie and SLB probably will find a way to redeem Khilji.
