Allaudin Khilji is a bit like Genghis Khan. There is no denying his genius in expanding and holding his kingdom. He was a great leader to his followers. Overall though he was a ruthless pillager who did let his troops rape and pillage and in fact encouraged it as a method of suppression. He himself engaged in abusive behaviors. For the conquered people he will be a villain.
