Vijay Deverakonda calls brother Anand his 'favourite boy', unveils EPIC First Semester teaser

Actor Vijay Deverakonda shared a warm message for his younger brother Anand Deverakonda as he celebrated his birthday on Sunday. The actor posted a photo of the two spending time together and spoke about their close bond in a short note shared on social media.

Taking to Instagram Stories, Vijay uploaded a casual picture with Anand and wrote an emotional message reflecting on their relationship. In the note, he said he feels grateful to have his younger brother by his side. “Happy birthday to my boyyy…he has been by my side since the day he was ,born and I feel so blessed and lucky to have a brother. (sic)"

He continued the message by expressing pride in Anand’s journey as an actor and the way the family supports his work. “@ananddeverakonda you are our favourite boy.. and we all watch everything you do with pride and joy. I love you," he added.

Along with the birthday note, Vijay also shared the teaser of Anand’s upcoming film titled EPIC First Semester. Posting about the project on X, he wrote, “Happy Birthday to my fav boy ?? May this year be EPICCCC for all of you 🤗😘 #EPIC ~ First Semester." The upcoming Telugu romantic entertainer features Anand alongside Vaishnavi Chaitanya. Directed by Aditya Haasan and produced by Sithara Entertainments, the film revolves around a campus based love story.

Actor Rashmika Mandanna also took to social media to wish Anand. Sharing a picture from a personal moment, she mentioned that the family missed him on his birthday as he was away working. “Anandaaaaa..happy happy happieshhtttttt birthdaaaaayyyy to youuuuu!! You are away shooting and we miss you..but we hope your work is going well.”

She also revealed a small memory linked to the photograph she shared. “Oh oh – Apparently, we were calling out to the fish while this photo was taken, Vijju said. May we always be crazy enough to be calling out to the fish like this.. @ananddeverakonda.”

In another post, Rashmika uploaded a short clip where she was seen dancing with Anand. The post carried a brief caption reflecting their playful bond. “And may we always be dancing like this! @ananddeverakonda.”

Earlier this year, after Vijay and Rashmika married in Udaipur on February 26, Anand had shared a note welcoming her into the family.
