Music is really important for a film to do well... Film might not have a big male star but music needs to be solid
(There have been so many instances this year only that have proved that prescence of megastar can't only uplift film)
IF Music is less popular, WOM needs to be tremendous(like PIKU)


Neither were promotional activities weak
Not were the stars present 'LESS ATTRACTIVE'

Very weak story, screenplay was boring, music was bad, music videos were really blah and the star cast was not fresh like Zoya's previous films, here people have already seen priyanka-ranveer in a film before and also ranveer-anushka have done so many films before together ! Zoya's weakest films so far and she got several things wrong.

crystal, i agree that this is zoya's weakest and the execution was poor too. even luck by chance was a brilliant film considering it also had a big star cast, but DDD failed to live upto the expectations

DDD had stars like Anil sir, PC , Ranveer, Anu , Shefali, Farhan still its an avg on BO 😕

ZNMD obviously is the better one, and its disappointing that how even the collections are below ZNMD . may be people did not relate to Ranveer-PC as siblings onscreen

One thing that people have loved in this film is the Bro-Sis chemistry between Ranveer and Priyanka

The music was not good enough and was not attractive enough for the single screens. The WOM was decent and mixed reviews mostly Performance was praised but they claimed the story is weak. Having that kind of budget they should have at least started the promotions earlier but i think they thought the WOM would do the money itself after seeing what happened to Piku and TWMR so the calculation was wrong. So lack of Music, Promo leads to lack of single screens.

I loved DDD but its really not everybodys taste the way Zoya wirte it and directed. Yeah she could have put more from the beautful places they were but she had only in her mind that everything play on the cruise and coulnt do really something spontaneous so there is disappointment. The money they put to be at the locations they were was not visible on screen.

But i think the story was good and entertaining mostly thanx to Ranveer. Its a family movie and so she concentrated only on them. So the disappointment that Farhan and Anushkas role was not necessary or not enough is not right because they were there not the be the lovers. the key factor was to make Kabir and Ayesha clear that they should make their own decisions and what makes them happy. Thats why these characters had faith in themselve to stand against the decisions of their parents and tell them what they want. And the ending was also not dissapointing because what ever happens even if the opinions are different family is family you will still stand by their side. So a ending with Ranveer and Anushka or Priyanka and Farhan is not the message of the movie.
