Why did Dil dhadakne do fail/underperform ?

With a star cast as popular and filled with A listers, coming from the makers whose last film has a cult following.

Is it because the film lacked good music ? Or because Ranveer and Priyanka has no starpower like Hrithik-Katrina ( ZNMD ) ?

Is it because the direction and writing was poor ? Or the promotions lacked excitement ?

It was an average movie...Nothing great about script... Too many characters and plot lines kind of confused people... There was no good locations as well... And Because of so many stars in it, it felt Zoya had to adjust screen time of all of them and which ultimately just made the movie boring... Lastly, the ending was really pathetic and ruined the entire movie for me... ZNMD was a far better movie, better script, better acting and much more fun...

However, I must mention that Anil, Shefali, Priyanka and Ranveer were really good in the movie.. The only fault was with script and direction...Music wasnt so great either.. Some parts of the movie were very funny though... But i guess people preferred TWMR over DDD
