i wasnt here in the forum during Barfi days, but Barfi was a brilliant film and thankfully the numbers also reflected the same, and Ranbir had a good run then. Lately his choice of films have become stupid and he seems disinterested , and YJHD had all the hit elements, it even had Aditya's hype from A2, Deepika and RK offscreen hype and good music plus Dharma background, rarely a film like this would tank. DDD did not have that much hype compared to YJHD.
I am not overhyping Varun, i am saying he is a revelation, i disliked him in SOTY, continued disliking him in the other stupid film he did with illeana, and badlapur changed my opinion, i loved it, loved his performance, and hence i am saying that he can deliver if chooses good.
and no, you will hardly see me changing my opinion about actors here, i have always liked actors and never cared about records or Box office, and yes that also makes me say i never liked Ranveer or Ranbir as actors, Ram-leela was gross, a 100 cr does not reflect anything, because i certainly failed to understand that where was the love between the lead pair.
and this is a fact that Ranveer ha sno pull at the BO, Ranbir had but don't know what went wrong with BV, and when varun is considered, he is being consistent and the opening of ABCD2 surely makes his fans happy, which is not wrong even.
