It has mostly been that way..only exception lolo bebo..where it actually went the other way..the other sibling (bebo) became sooo much more successful than lolo whose career fizzled in 10 years but kareena is ruling as an A list leading lady since 25 years

Why is an interesting Q though..i feel most lacked the talent..ishan is doing well though..but yeah if you have someone as talented as kajol and her sister is as talentless as tanisha..that ship obviously won't sail..

Karishma is equally successful as Kareena. Just because she couldn’t last longer doesn’t make her less successful than Kareena. She has more hit films than Kareena. Even I like Kareena but Kareena was flop queen in 2000. Karishma left film because her ex husband didn’t want her to work after marriage while Kareena got to do films after marriage because Saif supported her. Also, Karishma started her career at very early age and she didn’t get any help from the Kapoors. She made it easier for Kareena and she probably left the industry for Kareena to have less competition. In the 90’s, actresses usually had short career and they couldn’t last more than 10 years. Only exception was Kajol but Karishma was top actress in the 90’s. She can’t be compare with the likes to Shamita or Tanisha. And Maliaka might be successful as a judge but she was never successful in films. She never gave any hits. She usually did item songs on movies. That’s why I said at least she was successful in item dance and judge but not in movies.
