Zoya's filmmaking is more western and you can see she's heavily influenced by Woody Allen. There's a lot of tongue-in-cheek sarcastic rumor that not cued in like in tyically masala films.

I till date say, if the music was better the film would have had a bigger opening and probably a larger pull. For me, it was a notch better than ZNMD just b/c Zoya actually wrote 2 well-developed adult characters and gave Shefali a career-defining role.

Salim Khan had said in an interview...the audience walks away with the climax. For a film to do well climax needs to work. When I was stepping out of the cinema after watching DDD I heard several people say bakwas film hain. The bad climax killed it apart from the bad editing. Focussing on Farhan-PC might have helped instead of Ranveer-Anushka.

EXACTLY... Ranveer-Anu came out so boring and disconnected, whereas Farhan-PC needed more focus in the story.

One thing is for sure, just how good actors and directors cannot sell a film , good actors with star power can, Varun has proved it, the opening at least proves that he does have a huge pull, because i thought ABCD2 was thanda with its promos, and again Badlapur is there in his defense too.

Too bad to see that so called good actors like Ranbir and Ranveer fail to even give their film an opening which Alist heroines and 100% buzz whereas Varun does it in style.
