Valid point.

Posturing. Both sides have been played the fool. he law proponents glossed over the fact that the cow slaughter ban was decades old and they merely expanded into bulls and bullocks.Hindus have been fooled into believing something was done to protect their interests and sentiments. T Opponents have been fooled into believing the same.

The hoopla is still valid - laws and bans should be secular not communal.

If Arab countries can ban religious idols, then Maharashtra can ban beef for religious reasons.

I feel sorry for Muslims and Christians living in the country, but at the same time there are Hindus in Arab countries and they have to face the rules of the country too. At least beef is still available in some parts of India.

Exactly. Look at England. They took Muslims in and now they've got Sharia Law.

Most of those Arabic countries don't pretend to be democratic and they are governed by Islamic laws i.e sharia and they're mostly Islamic states. India says it's a secular country. If it said it's a hindu country governed by hindu laws i would understand the ban but u can't claim to be secular and democratic and apply laws from one religion

Key difference those are Islamic nations. India is a secular nation.

I am a Hindu and eat all kinds of meat. I like the fact that my faith is not rigid and rule oriented. There are guidelines, but no mandatory rules. As a Hindu I feel stifled in my own home nation because Hindu organizations take it upon themselves to impose rules that the religion itself does not mandate.

Beef ban is not in all of India.

Why is secular and democratic only applied to 'ones who want beef'? Why is secular and democratic not applied to one who are against beef and can't stand being around it?

They really can't go around people pleasing everyone. It is impossible to please every religion or every community.

Muslims do not want to accept UCC in India. they are guided by Muslim personal law or something like that in India as far as I know? Correct me if I am wrong! So what democracy you are talking about?

You have reservations too to benefit and protect your rights. But majority does not have rights to protect what they believe is sacred?

You don't eat pork because the religion says so. Well my religion says not to kill cows and we demand that gov protect the animal tht is worshipped by 100cr do us. Do you want to hurt our sentiments in the name of democracy? Go ahead! Do it! But remember, taali ke hath se nhi bajti !

AIB Ban
Nirbaya movie Ban
Beef Ban
Fifty shades of Grey Ban

Is India really a democracy? The government has no business babysitting the citizens. To each his own...

Nothing but politics.
