Slamming beef ban is not hypocritical. The beef ban is not done for humanitarian reasons. The beef ban is for religious reasons. If you were a humanitarian animal lover you would hold goats, chicken and sheep in the same regard as cows.

Also animal rights does not always equal vegetarianism.

Cow is sacred by Indian constitution. Killing them was illegal even during Mughal era! Now due to democracy the majority has to watch them get killed helplessly or else they will be seen as dominating and oppressing the minority rights!👏

If Arab countries can ban religious idols, then Maharashtra can ban beef for religious reasons.

I feel sorry for Muslims and Christians living in the country, but at the same time there are Hindus in Arab countries and they have to face the rules of the country too. At least beef is still available in some parts of India.
