Happy New Year Box Office Opening Report

Happy New Year has taken an earth shattering opening at the box office. The first day (1st) box office collections are bound to be humongous considering the start it has managed.

The Day post Diwali is one the most lucrative days of business in the entire year along with Eid and Christmas. People come out in huge numbers on this day to watch a film and if we also take in to account the fact that it is a Shah Rukh Khan film after 14 months well then it is a no brainer that the movie will shatter records which ever way you look at it. The film has opened well in southern circuits as well as the northern circuits. The eastern circuits have always opened well for Shah Rukh Khan and Happy New Year is no different. Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad have opened on an earth shattering note.

The occupancy in early morning shows is very good across all board. We will get a clear picture about multiplexes by around 10 o clock when all the morning shows open but the initial response in nothing short of record breaking. Happy New Year has released on around 4800+ screens in Hindi only and even if the film manages to record occupancy at the level of Kick or a touch higher than that , it will break the opening day record. As expected, the opening in multiplex will be earth shattering courtesy Shah Rukh Khan and the occupancy should be the best of the year ahead of Bang Bang. It has taken thunderous opening in multiplexes in all the circuit across the country. The film has got a real chance of creating circuit day one records in all circuits across the country.

The single screens will start opening at around 11 while most would have had opened by 12 noon and then we will get a clearer picture as to how high Happy New Year can go in terms of business. Even if the opening is not earth shattering in single screens it can still create records because of the mammoth release size for this film.
