The movie is senseless and has a lot of loop holes but it is extremely entertaining. A perfect diwali bonanza which you can enjoy with your whole family. Its a funny and feel good film, even though its 3hrs long but i can assure you thats not a problem at all, its throughly entertaining with good dose of laughter, thrill and emotions... The cinematography is f**king amazing, the best i've seen in a bollywood movie. Dubai has been captured beautifully, it looks extravagant on screen, The script is a bit weak but the screenplay is brilliant. Abhishek Bachchan stole the show for me. He was hilarious as Nandu Bhide. Cracked me up whenever he came on screen..The best scene was when he removed his cloths inside the vault, simply hilarious. The whole theatre burst out laughing. Srk was amazing and did justice to his role. Deepika looked beautiful throughout the movie and acted well too. Boman was good too. Vivaan with whatever screentime he got he did a good job. All in all its the best heist film after Dhoom 1 in bollywood. Loved it. I'd rate it 4/5...

Happy New Year movie is just housefull everywhere as early trends for first day (Friday) noon shows are coming in. Film is just earth shattering everywhere with 95%+ occupancy recording all across India. Be it big cities or interiors film is just Sold Out in Noon shows as samples are received. This is extremely good news for HNY and film is on its way to make history today at box office.

Happy New Year opened to 75-80% in Morning shows which is just excellent considering film released in huge scale. After that film has picked up to 95-100% occupancy in Noon shows which is historic considering film released in over 4000 screens in India.

Delhi, Gurgaon, Pune, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Kanpur everywhere film is recording 95-100% occupancy which is just like ideal case. Even Mumbai which started in epic proportion in Morning shows, holding well in noon time with 85-90% recording as per latest.

Coming to first day collection if film now holds well in Evening and Night time, then all time opening records are in danger.

Delhi - 95-100% [70-75% M]

Gurgaon - 95-100% [65-70% M]

Mumbai - 85-90% [90% M]

Hyderabad - 95-100% [90% M]

Pune - 95-100% [80% M]
