^ lol I don't know about other Kareena fans..but I have always said both Bebo and Deepika have over enthusiastic PR.

A PR is representative of the celeb. The PR is the face of the brand (brand being celeb here). So when "PR" teams release articles referring to "sources" leaking info, is it a surprise people call the celeb out? The two cannot be seperated. they are one and the same. You cant bash the PR team like you can a journalist. They are not an independant entity. The PR team works in tandem with the celeb. So if theres anyone to blame for Kareena looking stupid, its Kareena.

@Lensa, agreeing with Ency here. A PR does not work independently. They act on cues given by the actors. They just don't go randomly printing articles and sound-bites on behalf of an actor...every single news that is released is controlled by the celeb in question. The PR is simply the medium, nothing less and nothing more.

Which explains why some actors are constantly in news, whether or not they are doing well professionally and why some actors, despite having a much better commercial record are hardly written or heard about.

Ultimately, its the actor's choice, how he or she wants to be represented / talked about in the media.

Coming to the article, its okay...so what if she talked about reading scripts when the director is saying that he hasn't approached Kareena at all! If we can readily assume that Kareena is lying about the script, why can't be assume that maybe Bijoy is also lying about not approaching Kareena?

Actually Bejoy did not say he was in talks with Kareena. The reporter repeated a rumor and then placed a disembodied quote from Bejoy that doesn't mention Kareena at all.

I guess time will tell. If she's in the movie, good for her.

I don't want her to do this movie. This movie will be all about farhan and AB Sr. She should say yes to Durga Rani Singh. That movie seems interesting and she should do that HR Ashutosh movie. Both these movies will secure her position and possibly can bring her in top 2

I guess that makes sense. But I have read an article that said Actors are not always in charge of what their PR does. The article mentioned things like they will use the big star they are handling to promote the not so popular one. Sonam was annoyed with her Pr because she didn't think they were giving her fair treatment. So she switched to another PR company. So obv I don't think stars can control everything their PR does.

I wish I can find that article..it was really informative about PR and how they do things.

The journalist who agrees to the cross subsidy plan gets an exclusive' about you. The journalist who cannot give the required coverage to the C-list star doesn't get that exclusive story. So, the PR is actually using your name to expand his/her business and you are unaware of it.

The PR controls and manipulates the star like a remote control. We must also understand here that the PR is simply doing his/her job.

^^^^^^the article is really stretching it. The person is most likely a journalist who wants to place the negativity of the entertainment business on the shoulders of a PR. Journalists, media, celebs...its a love-hate relationship. cant do one without the other. But what a celeb can do is hire a new PR , revise the PR strategy with the celeb...OR...do it a la The Jolie and have NO PR. be in control of your image.
