Things seem to be looking up for Kareena Kapoor Khan, who
recently made news for having as little as one project in her kitty
(Singham 2). The actor, who missed out on a few films last year
" some she rejected at the onset, and others didn't work out due
to production issues " is now likely to star in director Bejoy
Nambiar's next project. Farhan Akhtar and Amitabh Bachchan
are also confirmed star in it.
A source reveals, "The film is being produced by Vidhu Vinod
Chopra. It mainly revolves around Farhan and Amitabh, but the
female lead's part is an interesting one too. It requires an
actress who has a good range. The heroine isn't just a pretty
face in the film." The project is expected to go on the floors
towards the end of this year, as Farhan's is only available
during that time. Incidentally, if all goes well, this film just might
mark the coming together of Farhan and Kareena, who were
reportedly also supposed to do Dev Benegal's next. However,
that film didn't take off due to production issues.
When contacted, Kareena neither confirms nor denies the news,
saying, "I'm hearing (a few) scripts. I have liked a few, Bejoy's
being one (of them). But I'm away (right) now shooting for
Singham 2, so I will work on all of that once I'm back."
Part 2
Although there were reports about Kareena Kapoor Khan being
roped in to play the lead in the film, Nambiar rubbis-hed the
rumours and mentioned that he hasn't approached anyone for
the role. "There is still time for the film to take off and the pre-
production work is currently underway. I haven't approached
Kareena or anyone else. Beyond that, I can't comment,"
mentioned Nambiar.
