Why has SRK not given any record setting film? - Page 6

I thought to defend SRk in this thread as this thread is not made by any Salman fan just to show that question which was asked 2 me that day if i cud defend Srk or not...

yeah his films aren't breaking records but it's not even like they are bombing...yeah, his recent films didn't live up to their hypes in terms of BO collections, but IMO that doesn't equal to having a bad phase!!!

and about overseas, my brother was telling me that Yash Raj films was the first Bollywood PH to promote movies so much overseas and since SRK was starring in most of those movies, he got so much more exposures overseas compared to other stars...and SRK mostly did romantic or family-oriented movies, which are far more popular and in demand overseas since Hollywood has far far better action movies than Bollywood...SRK did get a lot of exposure overseas...but it was him who created a place for himself in those people's hearts..his charisma, his characters, hsi persona was whole-heatedly accepted by the audience...but now that every actor is getting exposure overseas, their movies are also doing so much better overseas, of course, not at the level of SRK's, but they are doing decent business...there is what around 12 crores difference between ETT and JTHJ?

For Salman, HAHK was Madhuri's film...

For SRK, he is the only reason y he was consistent in giving BB, Hits n Huge craze in OverSeas...

In his career of 20 years, he has just given 2 ATBB - DDLJ & KKHH... many BlockBusters, infact he has been consistent from 20 years... never taken leave, never in any kind of personal big probs like court cases or anything...

A star who is so much consistent, when started giving HITS which are expected to do a ATBB or BlockBuster business Should worry for his consistent track record.

Ppl say he gives hit like Ra.One n termed as Trash, they compare it with Ready being a trash also a big hit...

Now if u r comparing Ra.One with Ready, both have zameen aasmaan ka antar, Huge Release scale for Ra.one, Infact the biggest when it was released as compared to Ready which was ordinary release, light Rom-Com film which was expected to do 60-70 cr, at max 80-90 cr... became BLOCKBUSTER, 2nd biggest HIt scoring 121 crore, which is 7 cr more than Ra.One. People are not that much fool 2 love a movie so much to make it that much big hit.

Those SRK fans who feel ashamed to talk about INDIA Business, n claims about OVERSEAS, then go n check records... Before 1992, it was Salman Khan with MPK to storm the overseas market, and further with HAHK being huge hit, recently with Bodyguard salman broke his HAHK Record of Overseas...
