Okay don't take it as a bashing thread. SRK's been consistent in giving hits, he's never taken breaks or had really bad phases like others. He has amazing record overseas. But why has he not been able to give any record shattering film after KKHH? No ATBB after that. No film which changed business dynamics (like Salman had HAHK, Aamir had Ghajini which became 1st to cross 100 crore).
In recent years only MNIK managed to be ATBB overseas and he managed only the highest single day collection record with Ra One.
He was the one who originally used to tackle media and marketing well. He's still the most popular (matched only by Salman Khan!). But why hasn't he been able to give a decade's no. 1 top grosser or an ATBB of late?
It's to his credit that he's consistent. But why such a huge star has not been able to give an outstanding grosser of late? Even a Sunny Deol was able to give a mega moneyspinner Gadar which overshadowed K3G. The Khans who were once considered weaker than SRK have set new records.
What are the reasons of his not setting new BO records? Do you think he can ever give an exceptional box office hit in near future as the main lead?
