The first line is a hilarious comment to make. No way has Kareena surpassed Sridevi or Madhuri.

But you are probably a huge fan of Kareena's so you are letting that cloud your judgement.

Even if Kareena isn't on par to sridevi or madhuri, she isn't exactly miles below either. She has proven herself to be a capable actress in the films she has taken up and her fandom is not too shabby either in regards to loyalty and number. A few more years and I definitely see her reaching the same place as the 90's heroines if she picks the right films.

Did you guys Remeber that article about most memorable performances...kareena's Geet was the only one mentioned. Not Maduri, or urmila, or serdevi

Sridevi started working in the late 70s and early 80s...and lasted 3 bloody decades as the top heroine in 3 different languages (Hindi, tamil and telugu)...so shes out of question...no one could beat sridevi's awsomeness...not even madhuri...

madhuri lasted a decade and a bit i guess...pretty much the same as how long kareena's lasted so far...the rest lasted 5-6 years max...

in terms of longetivity, kareena's doing gr8...she is right after madhuri in tht aspect...

There is a nostalgic factor attached with the past. Most of the members grew up watching Kajol, Madhuri, Sridevi who were icons of their time.

Its like saying:

Has Ranbir exceeded Aamir, Shahrukh, etc in terms of performance?'
How can he, it was a different time, you cant compare. But does that mean Ranbir's not good? NO

Has Vidya exceeded Tabu?
How can you compare? Different times caused different fate. But yeh, Vidya is more POPULAR that's for sure.

I can say that Kareena has created her own identity and will be remembered for years to come as the top actress of our time.
Debut in 2000, Kareena still flourishing in 2012, and hopefully beyond. That is a SUPER LONG innings for any actress.

why did you leave out Salman?

...so, no it's not a nostalgic factor.

lol, well either way..I can say for sure that most people will agree that Ranbir in a span of 5 yrs has better performances than Salman who has been working for 2 decades. Point is, Ranbir's the better actor, he has better performances (acting, dancing, delivering dialogues, choice of films etc) with merely a few films. So just because I've grown up watching Salman, I would never say he has better performances than Ranbir. No nostalgic factor there for me at least. Salman's the superstar that Ranbir may never be..but in terms of acting I think most people would agree that Ranbir's better.

Likewise, I do think Kareena's a better actress than some of the ladies from the 90s..but to say she has surpassed them all is far fetched. I really don't think it has anything to do with nostalgia.

to exceed someone in acting skills u need to do work better or at par with those who want to compare...looking at kareena's career how many times she ever acted in movies LOL the ones she did were rejected and she was forced to stand behind her heroes...and that's how she got the popularity...

kareena can match manisha...are u serious ? kareena can never pull off a bombay neither she can pull of a Ek Hasina Thi done by Urmila.

Why only Kareena ? Except Vidya Balan today's all actresses are a complete washout where talent is concerned...they don't get better roles and are forced to do a job of a HEROINE
