Kareena's acting skills are no match for manisha or Urmila that's a fact Gaurav and a bitter truth which should be sucked up.

However her popularity is defintely ten times ahead then any of the 90's actresses..

None of the actresses we have today are like 90s actresses. Kareena can only dream of being like Madhuri, Sridevi etc.

Gaurav, if you put in ANY name in place of Kareena, and ask if X actress has exceeded the actress of the 90s, you'll get the same responses.

There is a nostalgic factor attached with the past. Most of the members grew up watching Kajol, Madhuri, Sridevi who were icons of their time.

To say that ANY actress exceeds someone in the past is inaccurate and just not done.

Its like saying:

Has Ranbir exceeded Aamir, Shahrukh, etc in terms of performance?'

How can he, it was a different time, you cant compare. But does that mean Ranbir's not good? NO

Has Vidya exceeded Tabu?

How can you compare? Different times caused different fate. But yeh, Vidya is more POPULAR that's for sure.

I can say that Kareena has created her own identity and will be remembered for years to come as the top actress of our time.

Debut in 2000, Kareena still flourishing in 2012, and hopefully beyond. That is a SUPER LONG innings for any actress.

Go ahead and put Vidya's name in there or Rani's and the answer would be an overwhelming YES or at the very least the opinion would be divided not a complete sweep for the 90's.

kareena kapoor is miles ahead of manisha and urmila in terms of acting.

however her popularity definitely pales in comparison with sridevi, madhuri and kajol.

hell..madhuri and sridevi UNTOUCHABLE in terms of acting, dancing, popularity, charisma, ...oh...lets put it this they THEY WERE THE WHOLE PACKAGE.

and i say its kareenas jab we met will be remembered FOREVER. if sridevi had chandni, madhuri had hahk, kajol had ddlj, kareena has jwm. kareenaS jwm alone can win many battles..when it comes to actresses and performances - to REMEMBER.

She hasn't surpassed all the 90's actresses but has surpassed today's actresses in the acting department though.

And comparing the popularity of the actresses would be wrong as now there is internet and media while then... not everyone had access to the internet.
