I agree to an extent about creativity - but we do have few experimental movies coming out of other languages as well.Also most of the actors do try and experiment things but are not always accepted by audience.This forces them back to the known route of commercial cinema ..

So if they are going the commercial route its always safe to try it out in a language they are familiar with or say an industry they are familiar with

Adding to that -Some might argue that Creativity doesnt necessarily mean giving meaningful things right ..

for e.g. mouthing a punch dialogue is creative(though personally its more of a nonsense )😛

True... And also u need an audience to accept them... Its just a matter of familiarity and who we grew up watching. Today if Surya/Mahesh/Ganesh etc are cast in a Hindi movie, would i be keen to watch it...Not really.

Any nonsense these Khans churn out I go and watch it. But would i be that linent with a new star, If the reviews are good or if the WOM is good maybe then i would give it a shot. I could watch a regional movie once in a while but Hindi movies is what i go back to watch on a regular basis...

Mamo is anyday better than every BW actor.

Vikram is a superb actor and does better roles than every BW STAR combined.

Surya is good.

Them, their stories, plts are way better than BW.

All good looking South Indian guys have better thing to in life...than acting..😆..

I saw Shivraj kumars name here.. So Rajkumar was decent looking ..But he procreated with a Fugly lady to create the most Fugly kids ever. The only thing noticeable on there face is Big nose!!! SI actors are mostly OTT..

But there are quiet a few good looking ones like Diganth, Surya, Mahesh babu, Ajith, Vikram,siddhart,allu arjun ..

Madhavan is a South Indian but was brought up in Bombay and has been in the TV industry since 90s..

Sometimes accent might be bad..

Oh Vikram is superb! And his biggest USP is his script sense and being able to get into the skin of the character (Raavanan vs Raavan being the prime example). If any BW director saw both the movies, I dont see how they can ever go to AB with a role (that is unlessno one else is accpting them)

Who is Mamo? Mamooty? Or combination of Mamooty and Mohanlal? I think they are good but now 1. too old and 2. the kind of scripts they need do not work in N India 3. as mentioned they would not be accepted as mainstay BW heroes (even if they were in their prime) due to looks, accent, etc . If they had concentrated on BW, they would have been reeduced to character roles, praised (like Naseer Shah and Anupam Kher) but never got the recognition they enjoy today

not contributing anything on topic but thats one God awful picture of bips basu, whoever took the picture or whatever she was thinking, she looks like a ***** with her the dress, and her muscles and her face.

Sorry for being so harsh and weird. I just couldn't help it, She was such a pretty and sexy woman in ajnabee and raaz. Why would she want to look like a John A in a dress?

Did Bengali actors even try in bollywood?? I know Prambrata Chatterjee is in Kahaani.. what about the big actors like Prosenjit Chetterjee, Jeet, Jishu Sengupta, Dev?? Dev is a good actor he is kinda bollywood material (looks wise) but I don't think he has ever tried for Bollywood..neither did anybody approach him..

ohhh yeaahh Rahul Bose is bengali..

lol..pullo...i meant,most SI heroes are not "pretty boys" except mahesh babu and siddharth...the rest like rana, prabhas, even surya are more on the rugged side...and the majority of guys in bolly are chocolate boy faces so their rugged manliness, might seem too grizzly like someone said. 😆
