Hrithik Roshan

Hrithik Roshan has a new passion these days — roller-blading, which the actor is learning for Dhoom 2. "I took up roller-blading for a sequence in Dhoom 2. I thought I might as well learn as much as I can. I am also learning snowboarding in Dubai."

How different is roller-blading from roller-skating? "Roller-skating comes in the same family but roller-blading is different, as it has more inline skates — all the wheels are in one line so it needs greater sense of balance, more speed and looks very cool.

I am being taught by Jatin Sanghvi, who has his own training school, and is a very good teacher. I have been learning for 23 days now. Roller-blading is quite common now as a sport.

You will be surprised at how many children and people of all ages in Mumbai are roller-blading champions."

How skilled is Hrithik now? Can he keep a straight line, without falling on his back? "Yes, I can certainly manage that," laughs the actor.

"I am managing okay but still have a long way to go. Roller-blading is immense fun. When you see little kids jumping and skidding around, it's stunning — it makes you feel really old."

Hrithik Roshan's style formula

Hrithik Roshan is in talks with John Players for a signature clothing line he will model for. Hrithik is cautious about revealing too much as talks are still in the initial stages.

Says Hrithik, "It's in the pipeline. I am not designing anything. There has been a talk of a signature line, which is in the midst of development, and once the final discussions happen, we will see where it goes from there. A designer and I will bring out something in coordination, close to my kind of clothes, something that would appeal to me as a wearer. "

What has been the response to his first John Players ad? "Tremendous! I never thought I would get so much of feedback and appreciation from an ad film. I don't think it was possible. It was almost like a Koi Mil Gaya or Kaho Naa Pyar Hai release – the feedback I got back for John Players was so huge."

Does he do ads selectively? "Not really. When I had all the time in the world which was last year I didn't get any kind of offers that excited me enough and now I don't have enough time to do all the ads that are coming my way. But I have taken up quite a few and I am happy with what I am doing today — Hero Honda, John Players and Hide And Seek."
