Actor Aayush Sharma, Salman Khan’s brother in law, has allegedly received a threat email claimed to be linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The development comes days after Ranveer Singh reported receiving a threatening message.

According to IANS, the Mumbai Crime Branch confirmed that Aayush received the email on Wednesday, February 11. The message was reportedly sent through Proton Mail by an individual claiming association with the Bishnoi gang. Police sources indicated that efforts were made to conceal the sender’s identity.

The incident follows a similar complaint by Ranveer Singh, who allegedly received a threatening WhatsApp voice note through a VPN. In that case too, investigators found attempts to mask the origin of the message. Officials are examining whether there is any connection between the two threats.

Reports suggest that Ranveer was targeted in an alleged extortion attempt seeking around Rs 10 crore. Following the message, security at his Mumbai residence was reportedly increased. Investigators are probing possible links between the threat and individuals associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi network, which has surfaced in several cases involving public figures.

The recent developments have added to concerns within the film industry. Only days ago, firing was reported outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence in Juhu. Five rounds were allegedly fired outside his home. No injuries were reported.

The Mumbai Crime Branch later stated that the vehicle used in that incident had been sourced from Pune. Police said the car was sold by a Pune resident to one of the arrested accused, Aditya Gayki, for Rs 30,000 shortly before the firing. Gayki and another accused, Samarth Pomaji, allegedly parked the vehicle at a designated spot in Juhu.

Investigators claim that those who transported the vehicle were unaware of the identity of the shooter. According to police submissions in court, Shubham Lonkar later instructed the shooter to collect the vehicle and carry out the firing.

Authorities continue to investigate the threats and related incidents, as security agencies remain on alert.
