I think we tend to forget all the marathi, punjabi, gujrati, bengali, and southern films that India makes too...so it's the constant comparison between HW and BW!!!

I for one do tend to see HW superior to BW...and I don't know if I'm influenced by the critics or the media...but that's how I tend to see it...when in reality I haven't seen all the good regional films...so i shouldn't be bias...but somehow I always end up seeing it from a limited perspective like that!

Well, if you compare Hangover 2 to ridiculous movies such as Thank You or Houseful than obviously HW would look better. 😆 (Anyways, I haven't seen H2 yet so can't comment on the movie but I know it is better than the other two)

And at this point of time HW is superior to BW but that does not mean BW is bad. Like someone said it is going through a rough patch, otherwise at one point of time, it churned out great movies year after year. I just didn't like the comparisons between HW and BW. But it is ok. 😆

😃😃😃 Ok, another topic that will hopefully live up to its name! Can you think of a film that ever lived up to its hype in the recent time? So many big budget films came and went: GUZAARISH, KITES, RAAVAN, TEES MAAR KHAN, THANK YOU, etc. When these big films released, everyone was anticipating them and so many expectations went down the drain! Now, the next batch of films with HYPE will be coming: RA1, AGENT VINOD, BODYGUARD, READY, JOKER, etc. Will these films live up to the HYPE and satisfy expectations? Bollywood is in such bad shape right now! Will DIRECTORS ever focus on giving good stories instead of spending lavishly on JUNK?!

Please share your thoughts on this and make it another hot topic! 👏👏👏

I really think its a good sign... These movies tanking will be a good lesson for the film makers and the so called superstars...
The audience rejecting these movies is a sign the the audience is looking for a change.. Its time to pull up the socks..
Regarding good stories... I guess we do have some movies with good stories in recent times... The very fact that movies like Udaan, Peepli, Dhobi Ghaat, NOKJ, Tanu weds Manu, BBB etc have been appreciated shows that there are good stories being made and there is an audience for it...

Thank You = Is not a FLOP Movie
__

Thank You stays on to be the second biggest grosser of the year after Yamla Pagla Deewana and though it is just a coverage affair; it at least kept the flag flying high for Akshay Kumar-Anees Bazmee combine.

____

__________

Beside getting all the -ve Reviews Movie has emerged as 2nd highest grosser of the year so far ...👏👏👏👏

Thats because people thought it would be good, went for the movie, and it sucked. Thats nothing to be proud of na, except maybe being able to FOOL a country into watching a terrible movie which only hits them once they've already payed for the ticket and sat in the theatre.

Just coz u don't like the movie, it doesn't mean it is terrible...

if we buy ur logic... den y nt GUZAARISH, RAAVAN got the same grossing amount ?? y dey failed terribly ??

If movie was dat much pathetic, den it wnt b grossing so much money... it isn't 2-3 days income ... its whole collection in weeks... and reviews came on 1st day... full on -ve reviews... -ve bashing of movie all over... pathetic... don't watch... and all

still movie grossed 2nd highest earning... which shows ppl widout even seeing has termed dis flick as flop... 😛

When BW realizes that script matters the most..and not style and pretty clothes.

There is a positive shift though..movies like Udaan, BBB, A Wednesday, Stanley ka dabba, Do Dooni Chaar, NOKJ, TWM are doing well now and they, barring BBB and TWM, would probably have failed a few years back.
