Mohobatein in NO WAY was a blockbuster.. it was a HIT at max... ok khakhee was an average.. but that doesn't make it a hit.. Devdas was a hit..

So her movie's flop but usually (well of late) her performances have been appreciated, which is a good accomplishment, or atleast I think so. She's been making some script choices and things are working in her favour.

i do too!!!😃
I rather she have a flop film w/a good performance like raincoat than she doing a blockbuster hit like robot w/a meaningless character like sana! I love in all her roles, but I prefer a good performance over a good BO any day!

^mademoiselle, Actually, it was a super hit and the highest grossing film behind Kaho Na Pyaar Hai in 2000. I remember being highly irritated at that because I thought the film was utter rubbish. 😆

Btw, parlez-vous francais?

The journalist really needs to get his facts straight. And go back to grade school.

"According to recent reports in a popular news channel, the lady has only two major hits in her career, namely Hum Dil Chuke Sanam, Guru and Dhoom 2"

😕 That's 3 films. And last time I checked, Devdas and Mohabbatein and were huge hits and Khakee did well too.

But yes, she has had a shocking amount of flops and has still emerged as the highest-paying actress. I'm not sure what to attribute this to and as Phoenix_of_Hades said, I don't think there's just one factor contributing to her success. She's gorgeous, she CAN act, she's had the opportunity to work with some great directors and she has a huge fan following (a lot of which are men). I mean, the hysteria she created with Kajra Re is enough proof that this girl can pull in the masses.

JA and Robots were also hits...so i guess the journalist has selective memory! And agree...kajra re was def proof she can bring in the masses!!!

special effects were amazing for an Indian movie...very impressive...it was pretty good, but the film did well b/c of rajnikant and no way was ash a huge factor in the success, but she looked so divine and heavenly!!! She did well with whatever little her character had to do!
