Chittor track started today. 😊 You can watch it.

I watched episode mostly in mute. But it was a good episode.

Akbar has reached the outskirts of Chittor and taken Udai Singh by surprise. Udai Singh is scared of Akbar reaching there in the absence of MP.

MP is out somewhere and doesn't know of impending attack. He is alone somewhere searching for someone i guess. He met a girl in the jungle - i think a new romance / marriage on cards. The girl is poor and quite smug. She takes him to someone in a hut.

Udai Singh is scared that if Akbar finds out that MP is not there, then he can easily vanquish them.

So Udai Singh issues an order that no one in palace will talk about MP with anyone or leave the palace, so that news of MP's absence doesn't reach Akbar.

Rajputs prepare to defend the fort. Who is "Togadia?". Some minister. He is in charge of preparations along with Rawat ji.

But precap shows that a spy tells Akbar that MP is not in palace. Akbar says "aage badho". (Initially he was scared as he could see a tiger on the Rajput flag and asks his men to stop even though his generals want to move into position and take Udai Singh by surprise. But akbar tells them he can sense something is happening in fort. )

The attack will likely happen tomorrow. Please try to watch it. :)

Radhika,
It was a fantastic episode. A treat to be watched..
Caught it online after reading your comment.

Before i start, i noticed a few things which the CV's could have shown in this show, instead of showing too much of Akbar related politics. Infact, there was no need to spoil Salima Begum in all this process. I really abhor such blatant display of a person who was otherwise so much dignified in REALITY...

From perspective of Pratap, they missed::

1. Construction of Udaipur, which was started in late 1550's.

2. They missed the Merta War of 1562/63 between Sharif ud din and Jaimal Rathore. BTW, I heard in episode that they are showing Pratap has gone to help Jaimal in Merta ? This makes me doubt if this is actual siege of Chittor or some precursor (courtesy NR) ..I hope we see the actual siege now, and not some other war about which we have no idea.

3. Marriage of Akbar with HK . BTW, after watching the treatment given to Salima Begum, i am fine they have not shown any such marriage of Akbar and Bharmal's daughter. ROFL

I read in updates about another NR of CV's. I think they sent Akbar to Ajmer Sharif with Salima Begum {??} or Ruqaiya Begum ???... But, we know Akbar first went to Ajmer Sharif in January 1562 ALONE without these 2 Begums, and that was the time he married HK...Though, here it was twisted. :-P

4. Shakti Singh defecting to Mughal side and coming back before the actual siege..

5. Marriage of sister of Pratap with the Prince of Gwalior. They finished it in one episode, i read in update..

Also, Go through this thread ... I found it good. :)
Completely no nonsense post...I loved reading this..About some "Raw and Real Emotions" which would have happened at that time from the perspective of those people who fought for their land. -> Promises for Chittod Seize's Brave Souls!

I am not aware of Togadia / Todia at the moment. I am going to search about him also now, provided he existed in reality in history.. Perhaps, they might have shown him earlier when we were not watching the episode..He looks an important person to me...

BTW, I was glad to see Isar Das Chauhan also..Remember ? He is the same person who fought with Akbar's war elephant with a dagger..When i saw him in episode, it made me remember this elephant fight scene which was mentioned in Jaimal - Patta update..Actual siege is going to move everyone here..

I agree Abhay! I stopped watching after i saw one episode in which Salima was shown two-timing. It was horrible!!

1. Construction of Udaipur, which was started in late 1550's.

I am also happy No HK, no mistreament of her character! 😃

These days all story lines re twisted .

this must be maan bai, whose marriage with akbar was rejected.

He seems to be some minister. 😊

Radhika,

Isar Das Chauhan was shown in the episode aired on Wednesday.
He is the head of archery wing of Mewar's army.

And even yesterday, we saw Isar Das, he is the same person who was present with Rana Udai Singh and Todia, when Udai Singh was giving a speech to his soldiers from the ramparts of the fort.

In last episode, they introduced Jaimal also. Watch it. It was a good episode.

Along with Jaimal , they also introduced Kala Rathore, who was his nephew, and if i am not wrong then, Kala is the same person as per some accounts, on whose shoulders Jaimal sat in the Chittor War when he was unable to fight after getting injured..

history-geek, The story in the serial has taken 8 year leap. That has been mentioned in the narrative. The narration also told that in between these 8 years, Akbar started marrying Rajput princesses fr his political alliances, which means they hv decided to undo totally with the Jodha track. He also sends fr an alliance fr Mann bai Mp's sister due to which they get her married hurriedly. They hv also flashed the year as 22 octobar 1568, which means, this is the real siege .Only thing I am worried is Ajebde, Amar singh, n Udai singh r all inside the fort. i don't know what they r going to show regarding them:( i think u said in one of ur posts that MP was in Kumbhalgarh at that time.?

Can someone tell me that I am seeing dear friend Abhay's post here? I did pinch myself, still not sure.

Abhay, did you hear my internal pleas to read your posts on Maharana and his brave friends? I have been missing it and longing for so long that I even got jealous of JA that you do not seem to have time for my dear hero.

Now, no letting you. Please continue and write more and more about Maharana as you used to write about Jodha those days. I want to know everything about our hero!

Thanks for this lovely post buddy, saw it on the other thread too but just got to get in.

PS: looking forward to your daily commentary from history from Chittor seize onwards. And you can clear the back log on non-show days:-). Remember, you still owe me a promised post on Maharana!
