also why is MJ wasting time decorating the baby room for her and holding on to her. Man like MJ change woman very fast so why hold onto someone so long.

I don’t think the schizo theory holds weight but there were a couple of things in the flashback which did not make any sense!

MJ decorating the baby’s room with Manvi for what purpose? Where is this room...in her house, or a love nest they both shared ? Why was he investing so much time & energy on this whole charade if he just wanted to abort the baby. In the present day she seems to have a similar room somewhere...where is that exactly?

And Manvi was a middle class girl pretty close to her parents especially her mom, so why does her mother not know anything about the affair, the pregnancy. Would it not be natural for her to confide in her mother, esp considering her mother had warned her. How could she hide all this from her family.

I don’t know if this is just poor writing & typical oversight in their thriller element as usual by the creatives or there is a reasonable explanation about it.

MJ is not only an egoistic womanizer, but also a sociopath who gets enjoyment out of suppressing then breaking women. He did it to antara for years and he did the same to Manvi. MJ was not wasting his time with maya so he can sleep with her, it was so he can satisfy his own ego by breaking her to pieces. If he only wanted sex, then he would just find a willing woman. It's not about what I understand or what preconceived notions I might be having. There are certain things which dont fit well in the flashbacks. And what's so hard to understand in the "typical egoist psychopath who enjoys breaking people who defy" concept? That's a pretty run of the mill trope.

Why would MJ want to break a trembling, easily intimidated girl? It was not that she was an arrogant, assertive and sassy type to catch MJ's eye. She was pretty unremarkable in every way, be it behaviour, body language and looks.

If Maya had shown him serious sass and attitude then I'd understand your point. But the reason for him to get obsessed with Maya is very very weak.

And for the sake of it , he lied as much as he had to and roped in his friends on the lie too so that it looks convincing. Manvi is unlikely his first or last victim ( remember the old healed scars on his wrists of previous cut marks. They were not self inflicted wound of a heart broken man we know that. So what are they ?? Likely, the whole cut-wrist , get-the-naive new office girl-convinced , sleep with her - thing had been going on since a long time. There's a pattern to it. ) of MJ.

He saw nothing special in her. He was not wasting any considerable time and energy on her that can show his special interest her. He did only as much as is needed to keep the affair a secret so to convince her to keep it all a secret or else his image and reputation will be tarnished.

However, he must have been using protection while sleeping around because that's basic and of course any one would do that so that no additional trouble springs up . But no contraceptive is absolutely full proof or may be in an unguarded moment it happened without any protection.

Either way long story short , Manvi becomes pregnant. Just imagine how mad he must've been when he found out because his image is now in legit trouble. Manvi can go to court , claim paternity test and sue the hell out of him. His original plan must've been to dump her once he's bored of her or he gets a new office virgin. But now he can't do that. He has to be cautious. In his diabolical mind , it has to be played just right. He can not dump her with his baby kicking in her womb. It needs to be aborted for him to be in safe zone again. He can either do that by tricking her into an abortion, which is what any smart person would try with so much at stake because the other option, literally forcing her to get rid of the baby is messy and in that case , loose ends can not be kept and Manvi will have to be killed off . Now even mafias don't go for that messy road unless and until absolutely necessary. So he played it cool , convincing her that the baby is welcome and played the role of excited expectant daddy with her so that he can take her to Diya easily and get the abortion done. Once the baby is no more , Manvi could never prove it was MJ's to begin with. But it didn't quite work out as planned and she got suspicious and ran away.

So remains the last and I daresay his least favorite option, the messy way. Kill them off. He tried to do just that.

Also if you've seen Hate Story , the character of Paoli Dam went through a similar situation.

I have seen a kdrama were a guy kills people who raped and murdered a girl he liked in highschool.. there were supposed to be 7 guys and at the end its revealed in the court that the 7th guy was none other that him.. he used to be a very quite guy and secretly like the girl but wasnt strong enough to save her when his friends raped her. The incident mentally disturbed into a level were his brain completely shutdown the part were he himself was involved in the crime and years later he starts killing all his friends one by one..

It would been really good if maya has the same problem but then beyhadh is an indian tv soap and the creativity of itv is below 0..

Nope, that cut-writ routine was way too unbelievable. Nobody goes through so much drama for a trivial nobody.

I didnt say he was obsessed with her, I said that the way he made such an elaborate charade seems unlikely for somebody of MJ's stature. In real life, no top level businessman would have so much time for a random nobody.

The strong preying on the weak to inflate their ego isn't unheard of. What MJ did was out of ego, for fun, and I fear, maybe even habit. Liek someone said, I think it's plausible manvi was not the first. Clearly MJ enjoyed playing games to win the trust of this naive weakling who instead of gushing over the small amount of attention he gave her through those flowers, she rejected his advances there. Not much needs to be done to rile up an egomaniac who has an inflated level of self-importance that he feels needs to be kept intact. I myself don't find anything unbelievable in what a man like MJ did to maya.

I didnt understand. If he merely 'failed to save her', then how come he was himself involved as well? I didnt get that part of the synopsis.

He's an egomaniac, but is he the "sadistic psychopath" type? He is the kind of man who would go to any lengths to get what he wanted. But would he torture somebody just for fun? I doubt.

Also, returning the flowers doesn't seem to be that big of a slight. But maybe you and others perceive it that way.
