Nanaji did not get a heart attack hearing about Hiten and Khemi. Why would he have one now?
I am so against this hypocritical society which allows the incongruous marriage between people of such age disparities but frowns at relationships born out of genuine love all because of some warped relationship. It is the very same India which allows maternal uncles to marry their nieces. I know of cases where children born out of such union end up handicapped or mentally retarded. So our culture is not something superior. The very same India has a centuries old caste system which is still the country's biggest malaise. It is the very same India which allows child marriages and dowry system, all in the garb of social practice.
There is nothing legally or medically wrong about Hiten marrying Khemi. I would say that there is nothing morally wrong either if one goes by the strict definition of morality and not some narrow definition which is driven by a society whose value system itself is not always sacrosanct.
I feel it is more ridiculous for an 18-year old to go around saying she is the mother of a 23-year old man than for Hiten and Khemi to marry each other.

I am putting the track back to the original topic by putting in my 2 cents. I do not agree with the way Santu took the decision and justified it to Khemi. When she went to talk to Nanaji why did she not take Khemi along with her and have a joint family discussion? This way both of them could have heard her out. It was after all about Khemi's marraige.

After that Santu did not let Hiten finish whatever it was that he wanted to tell her. If she made the decision in her role as maalkin shouldn't the parties involved be given an opportunity to be heard? And shouldn't the maalik be made aware of what is going the situation? If Santu involved Nanaji as a parent then isn't it DM's right to know as Hiten's father too?

Khemi has already told Santu that she will not be able to forget Hiten and accept Shambhu. A just and fair decision should involve Shambhu too. Why did she not go talk and bring him to the haveli and have a talk with DM present? She is experiencing first hand what it is like to have a spouse whose heart belongs to someone else. Why does she think it would be OK for Shambhu to be in the same situation?

DM has been married twice - the first time to a woman he loved very much and whom he still loves after her death and the second time in a forced marraige to a young girl he is barely beginning to acknowledge in his life but not give her the rights of his wife. He has experienced both types of scenarios. He would have been very angry at first but DM is a just and fair man. He would definitely have heard everyone out before giving his decision.

Santu's unilateral decision was wrong on so many fronts. If Santu had gone about taking the decision in the right way matters would not have come to this stage. The necklace would still be locked in DM's safe.

Hema......heres my view abt santu decision...

When santu went and talked to Nanaji, she was totally broken with what she just saw and she was worried for her sister. Nanaji was the only one she could have confided (& she did think abt her sisters love here) in since it was abt khemi her sister.......i am sure if it was abt maulik or kaddu she waould have confided to baa or babuji or champakali....on why she did not confide abt hiten to baa or bauji...because she felt shameful of what her sister and her step son have done.........it is my understanding that it is much easier to tell ur parents or nanaji in this case if the act is such shameful because its one day beore the wedding....than to ur inlaws whom you have just started to know and who have just started to respect you...........she tried her best to solve the issue as a sister first, but what if the eldest sister who has preached her all abt family and its respect is saying one day beore the wedding ......i dont want to marry shambu because i love hiten and none would be happy......no its not done...especially where its a village scinearo.....what if hiten declared his love after the wedding.....khemi would then decide to leave shambu.......

abt why she did not tell DM......she never would have becasue thats her nature and she tries to solve all the problems herself......like in kaddu's case or mauliks case or Hitens diamnond throwing case.....I know it is wrong not to share all this with her spouse....but she did go and speak to DM abt Maulik when he got totally out of control......even now she is tryign to fix everything herself...she is hoping atleast her elder sister would understand her situation........also as santu mentioned to Khemi...if it was anyone elese other than her sister she would have told DM everything......but khemis only defense mechanism is by sayign Maalikin i will do anythign u say........she did not for once thnk abt santus dilemma and what woudl santus condition be if all this comes out if DM does not agree

and Hiten...when his dads yes or no does not make a difference to him anyways....what is he waiting for till the last sec of Khemi-shambu marriage...to make an entry and announce that he loves Khemi.....

i am just hoping atleast today...this whole issue comes out and santu is free of this whole hiten and khemi drama.....hope they come out in open and not wait for santu to get yellings from DM

Coming to the maanglik issue, if only maangliks can marry each other, not many in the country would find a match. Ther aer ways around to getting around the maanglik-non-maanglik. A famous couple who have that problem in the entertainment industry is Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bacchan. They had got her to marry a pepal tree (or was it a banana tree) before marrying him. This is supposed to ward off whatever problem that would come in their union. So a similar thing can be done for Khemi too.

Yes, I have also heard of this ritual when a manglik gets married to a non-manglik 😊

There was a serial on Sony called Hum Ladkiyan, where it was also shown that a manglik girl was first married to a pepal tree before she got married to a non-manglik man 😊

Usha, I agree with you! Let Hiten-Khemi do what they want and continue to show the DM-Santu relationship! Hiten should face DM and tell him the truth and just end this whole charade once and for all!
Shambu is a lot better man than Hiten! I admired Shambu's courage today. He will just get away in time from selfish Khemi!

I agree with those that Hiten and Khemi have been acting extremly selfishly.

It is one thing to be in love. U might not be able to help with whom u fall in love with (which too is a matter of opinion) but the way they went about the whole thing was pretty reprehensible.

They have always shown Khemi to be hot headed and head strong. I am pretty much disgusted with the way she went about the whole thing. It lacked maturity , thoughtfulness and a great deal of selfisheness. The way she threw herself at Hiten and hugged him first, knowing all the time that she is to be married to another in two days.🤢

Her whole character is being shown to be lacking integrity. And I am saddened to see Hiten also behaving the same in this instance.

As many said earlier, they seem to think about the cook's feelings which will be the most hurt by all this at their convinence and as well as the nanajis and others.

In myopinion Satu's Decision should be the least of anyone's concern.

After all, if they really beleived in their love and thought it morally, ethically correct and had no doubts about it's sanctity or validity they would come out in the open to stand for it or fight for it.

Hite should be more than capable of doing that if not Khemi. But these resort to going behind people's backs.

Seriously... Imagine this story was real and not a fake one.. A woman marries a Man older than him, she has a stepson the age of her real sister.. Imagine her older husband DID love her, her family accepted her... Do you guys REALLY think that the world would keep their mouths SHUT when knowing that a step son is marriying his step maassi? Do you guys think that one could justify their relationship?

And besides all of that Does a stepbrother marry his stepsister? Why is that a problem and in your eyes a stepmaassi-bhanja relationship allright?

Just because now two characters chemistry is "sizzling" doesn't make what nonsense they are doing right. I dont see any blood relation between the two and in that way they can get married in my eyes.. But besides the relationship they already have because of santo marriying dm, there are far more other complex situations.

The two have a right to fall in love and maybe one cannot have control over it.. But i dont see where santo is wrong either? Yes she slapped her older sister, but she repented.. Besides that her situation has made her the older one in the situation.. Once DM accepts Santo as his wife, she will get every right in the house she deserves and Hiten will have to accept that she IS indeed now his mother..

She has acted as the mature one from the beginning from the show so why does she not have the right to preech? Even if all of DM's kids accept it or not, Santu is their mother now, regardless of her age.. And in that way if hiten marries khemi, Santu will be her step saas..

And seriously.. Love can be blind but a love that is selfish should just buzz off.. Hiten has no respect for santo, khemi showed she has no respect for her sister either... Hiten and khemi both are not thinking about the consequences... If they are so much in love Please then get the guts and tell DM yourselves and what he decides will be done!
