CHAPTER 24:

Arjun was too shocked. Suddenly his mobile blinked showing Shree's mail. "kya wo admi yahi the?" girl nods. Arjun is tense as hell. He is fuming. "Sikander"

Rathod and team rushes to the hotel they see a worried Arjun running here and there. "kya hua Rawte? Riya kaha hai?" Arjun was not in full mind to answer the question.

"Rawte?? Riya kaha hai?"

"Rathod, Riya... Sikander... I missed him again Rathod. I missed him. I should never have let her go alone to the washroom. Mere galti hai. aur ab wo..."

"Rawte relax. Saaf saaf bathao ke kya hua" Arjun explains what he had with him.

Shree: ab kya kare sir? Kaha dhunde usse?

Arjun: lets go to the parking lot.

The rushed to the parking lot, and as expected they were not there. Arjun was feeling so helpless. "Rawte sambahal apne aapko. We'll find her." Arjun looks here and there. "cameras. Shree yaha ke CCTV footage nikalo. We may get his vehicle number from there." Shree and Chotu rushes to the control room. After a while he calls the seniors.

They see a man supporting an unconscious Riya to the vehicle. His every touch was boiling Arjun. he clenched his fist to control himself. He led her to the passenger seat and then moved to the driving seat. He was looking into the camereas as if expecting him to be watched. The devilish smile on the face was boiling the whole team. Rathod held Arjun's shoulders to control him. But before getting into the vehicle Sikander bent down as if placing something on the ground below the vehicle. He stood, looked back at the cameras. As if challengeing the on looker. Then he took the vehicle and moved. In the whole process, they were unable to see the whole number plate, except that the last 2 digits were, '01'

Arjun and team rushed to the place shown in the video. A ring was waiting for him. The same one that he had given to Riya the previous day. A lone tear filled Arjun's eye as he fell on to his knees. The team felt pathetic for him. No words could consol the already broken heart. The only thing that Rathod could do was placing his hands on Arjun's shoulder. "Arjun, fikar math karo. I swear we'll find her. Control yourself." He kept his positions for a while and then stood up composed.

"ha, Rathod, we'll find her. Aur iss bar, I wont fail her." He was ready and held the ring strongly in his hands. "Chotu, security se puncho, ke last digits 01 wale ye gaadi ka pura number kya hai. they should have the record. Aur patha lagao ye gaadi kiska hai aur ab kaha hai." Chotu nods and rush ahead.

Rathod: Shree, trace that Varun again. He is also involved in it. we should get him. Aur hum do yaha Varun aur Sikander ke bare mien puchthach karthe hai.

All move ahead for the work. Arjun holds the ring in his hands itself. Every moment he is geeting tensed for Riya. Rathod senses it. they try their level best to find Riya.

Chotu: sir security se baath hua hai, gaadi ke number mila ahi. Aur wo Sikander ko bhi identify kiya hai. wo gaadi Peter ke naam registered hai. gaadi ka location trace karne keliye police ko inform kiya hai.

Shree: Varun's number is switched off. Lekin yaha ek couple ne usse identify kiya hai. wo ek bike mien aaya tha. CCTV footage ko firse dekhna padega.

Rathod: go for it Shree. Aur usse trace karo.

All leave to the office. Arjun is so silent. All notices it. he was feeling so guilty. No one said anything. All were worried for her.

ETF office:

Arjun: wo bike ka kuch patha chala?

Shree: nahi sir, wo CCTV footage mien teekh se nahi aaya hai. aur number trace nahi ho paraka hai

Arjun: what?? Don't tell me we are on dead end. Ek side mien wo gaadi Peter ke naam registered hai aur ab wo bike. Na gaadi trace ho parahe hai, aur na wo cell.

Rathod: Arjun relax. We'll find them

Arjun: Relax? Par kaise Rathod? Har pal Riya humse dur hothe ja rahe hai. I can't let that happen. I want her back.

Rathod dosent know what to tell him.after a while Arjun's phone rings. He puts it in speaker.

Arjun: hello... Riya...

Other side: hello...( a male voice) Riya nahi.. koi aur hai.. pehchan kaun

Arjun: (he wait for a few seconds) Sikander??

Sik: wow ithne jaldi pehchan liya? Aur kaise nahi pehchanoge? Humare pehle bhi baath hua hai. wo bhi ek phone mien? Kuch yaad aaya? (the question was fully sarcastical. Arjun didn't have the specific memory that Sik was mentioning. But he knew it was related to Roshni. He was fuming inside.)

Arjun: tumhare jo dushmani hai wo mujhse hai. Riya ko chod do? Tum usse hurt kyu karna chahthe ho?

Sik: usse kaun nuksan pohonchna chahthe hai? tumne teekh kaha. Mere dushmani sirf aur sirf tumse hai.

Arjun: what do you want sikander? Roshni tho ab nahi rahe. Ab Riya? Kyu?

Sik: manna padega tumhe Rawte. Roshni nahi tho tumne kisi aur se pyaar karne laga. Kya yahi hai tumhare pyaar?

Arjun was feeling helpless. Each word said by Sik was hitting his heart. It was clear that Sik didn't know about Arjun's memory loss and all that.

Sik: ok jo tumne kiya uskeliye ye tho bohot chota se punishment hai.

Arjun: tumhare har baath mujhe manzoor. Just leave her.

Sik: ithne jaldi bhi kya hai Rawte? I know tum aur tumhare team hame dhundh rahi hai. aur zara apne IT specialist se pooch ke wo ye call track parahe hai ki nahi

All look at shree. He nods negative gloomily. All are frustrated.

Sik: nahi na? kyonki mien tumse ek kadam aage hu. ab apne personalproblems ko apne paas hi rakh aur apne do cases solve kar. Thab thak Riya mere paas hi hoge.

Arjun: Sikander agar ek choti se anch thak hui, then I wont spare you!!

Sik: Chill Rawte. She will be fine with me. Mere kaam hai dusronko khush rakhna. Apne aapko nahi. (he laughs sarcastically) bohot suna hai ETF ke bare mien. Unke kabilyath ke bare mien. Let me also see. Pehle wo do case solve karo. Tumhare Riya ke patha khud bakhud baahar aajayenge. Thab thak tumhare amaanath mere paas safe hai. par jaldi karne, wo kab thak safe hoge, ye tho nahi keh sakthe.(he laughs aloud)

Arjun: Sikander!!!

Sik: lo ek choti si favour karthe hai. ek case mien hi solve karthe hai. Rohan Murder case. Uss Rohan ko mere kehne par Peter ne maara tha. Aur wo Peter ab nahi raha. Aur Rohan ke gunaah ye hai ke wo uss ladki se pyaar karne laga tha.aur uss ladki bhi!! PYAAR!! Sabse badi galthi!! sabse badi gunaah!! Jo tumne bhi kiya tha!! Aur meine bhi!!!

He stops for a while. the team could feel his anger on the other side.

Sik: lo ek case solved. Ab wo ladkiyonko dhundo. Hint: wo Mumbai mien hi hai. time is running Rawte!! Hurry up!!

He laughs aloud and cits the call.

Arjun: Sikander!! Sikander!!

He shouts but the line had already gone dead.

Rathod: Shree call kyu nahi trace hoparahe the?

Shree: patha nahi sir! I just couldn't get it.he already took care of it.

Rathod: dammit!!! Now what??

Shree: sir!! Varun ke position trace hogaye hai!

Rathod: ok team lets go!! Rawte!! Rawte!! Can you hear me!! Lets go!!

Arjun was too numb to move. Riya's face was playing in front of his eyes. She was in pain and trying to reach him. He suddenly woke up by Rathod's voice.

Somewhere far away, she was getting up. She felt dizzy. It was so dark. It frightened her. "Arjun..." she whispered.
