CHAPTER 23:

Arjun and Riya reached back at office. Rathod and team were already there. Arjun looked tensed.. "kya hua Rawte? Peter se mila?"

"ha mila lekin kuch bolne se pehle, kisine usse shoot kar diya. Tumhara kya hua? Varun ke koi khabar?"

"Varun ko kisine chupaya hai. lekin hum usse track kar rahe hai. uske ghar ke paas admi ko rakha hai aur sare calls bhi track kar rahe hai"

"usse kuch nahi hoga Rathod. Agar wo log chaho tho Varun ko kabhi bhi maar sakthe hai. so phone tap karne se kuch nahi milega. Maybe Hell fire mien firse jaana hoga" saying this he goes to the cabin. Rathod and team notice this. "kya hua Riya? Waha sab teekh tho the na? ye Rawte aise ajeeb kyu behave kar rahe hai? ha, aaj usse bohot bure khabar sune hai. lekin kuch aur bhi baath hai"

"patha nahi sir, mien bhi yahi soch rahi hu. Peter se baath karne ke baath kaafi pareshan lag rahe hai. kuch boltha bhi nahi. Sirf ithna keh rahe hai ke mujhe sambhalke rahna hoga. Alert hona hoga. Aur wo ab mujhe nahi kho sakthe hai. aur.." she stops in between feeling that she said too much already. She blushed and lowered her eyes. Rathod and team were happy for her. At last her love was back in her life.

"its ok Riya, I'll speak to him. But jaise usne kaha hai, thode alert raho. Maybe he has a reason." He smiles at her and goes to Arjun's cabin. Shree and Chotu use this opportunity.

"are wah Ri, ek ring haath mien nahi aye, aapke Arjun tho aap pe fida hue hai. aur aap tho unke aage piche hi chalne lage hai. bichara hum? Hai na Chotu?"

"ha Shree, ab hame kaun yaad karenge? Hamare dost to gaye na hame chodke"

Riya: shut up guys, kuch bhi bolte ho. aise kuch nahi hai. (she thinks for a while) ha, ab mien bohot kush hu. Unhe apne paas milke. I hope mien hamesha unka saath de pau. Unhe koi anch thak na ho. I cant live without him.

Shree understands her feel. "are Ri, you will be always for him. Akhir pyaar jo kar raheho uss akdu se. ab nibhana bhi hoga na? (Riya raises her eyebrows) ok, sorry baba, akdu nahi bolunga. Sirf khadoos... ok? (she hits him on the shoulder and all 3 laughs).

Arjun's cabin:

Arjun was disturbed by Peter's words. He was worried for Riya. Rathod enters and senses Arjun's mood.

Rathod: kya hua hai Rawte? Bohot tensed ho. And don't tell me everything is fine.

Arjun: no Rathod. Everything is not fine. In fact bohot problem hone wale hai.

Rathod: saaf saaf bolo baath kya hai

Arjun: Riya ke jaan ko khatre hai.( Rathod was shocked now.)

Rathod: what? Aur ye baath tuhe kaise patha chala? Kaise khatra hai?

Arjun: Peter marne se pehle ye kaha hai ke mien bohot jald Sikander se milne wala hu, wo bhi Riya ko bachane keliye. He knows about her Rathod. History is going to repeat again. Firse wo mere pyaar ke peeche hai. akhir kyu? Uske dushmani jo bhi hai, wo mujhse hai. iske beech Riya ko kyu le aarahe hai? whats her fault?

Rathod: history wont repeat Arjun. hum Riya ko kuch hone nahi denge. I promise.

Arjun: kaafi fikar horaha hai Rathod. Agar ek zara se bhi chot pohonch gayi. Tho mien bardash nahi kar paunga. I cant lose her. Never.

Rathod: I know Arjun, aur hum aise kuch hone nahi denge. Kya Riya ko iske bare mien patha hai?

Arjun: no. didn't want to tense her. Usse kuch math kehna.

Rathod: she is already tensed with your silence. Do one thing. Lets call it a day. Shaam hone wale hai. you both take leave. You need rest. Ho sake tho thode aaram karo. Go and please don't protest for a change.

Arjun: agar order mile hai tho protest kaise karu SIR? (they smile) Rathod, thankyou...

Rathod: thanks kyu?

Arjun: for everything. From the beginning till now. Thanks Sameer. (Rathod felt too emotional, it was after a long time they were on first name basis. He slowly goes and hugs Arjun and breaks after a while) hm... I should go now, warna mere chief wale image kharab ho jayega. (he smiles and goes out with Arjun)

Shree: Ri... pinch me, kahi mien sapna tho nahi dekh raha hai? Rathod Sir aur Arjun sir ek saath smile kar rahe hai!!!!

Chotu: shayad tumhare sapna mujhe bhi dikhayi deraha hai. I can see them smiling.

Riya: stupid!! Wo log sach much smile kar rahe hai

Rathod comes and see 3 people as statue. "kya hua? Aise kya dekh rahe ho?"

"nothing sir . bas aise hi" Shree gulpes.

Rathod: ok team lets call it a day.lets see tomorrow.

Ariya reaches home. He was so tired that he falls back to the sofa. It was only 4.45 pm, still he was so tired. All the relavations and the work drained him. She sat close to him on the same sofa and caresses his hair. He opens his eyes and looks at her. "Riya mien.." she closes his lips. "no, aap thode aaram karlo. Baad mien baath karthe hai. I'm here" she keeps on caressing his hair. He tries his maximum to look at her, at last he drifts to a sound sleep. She watches him sleeping. He looked so relaxed. She removes his shoes and places it well on the sofa and kiss his forehead. And then goes to get freshen up. When she came back, he was still sleeping.

She goes onto the kitchen to make some soup. By 6pm Arjun slowly wakes up. He opens his eye and is first a bit disoriented. Later he got it. he didn't see Riya there and was worried. "Riya..."

"ha... I'm here" she called out from kitchen and came to him "kya hua? Aap kab uth gaye? Thode aur aaram kar sakthe tha na?"

"I'm fine Riya. Bas aise hi" she sat by him. He was just looking at her. She touched his cheeks. "kya hua aapko? Bhohot hi pareshan lag rahe hai. any problem?"

He nodded negative. She was not convinced. "ok ek problem hai. bohot bade problem hai. solve kar sakthe ho?"

"pehle bathayiye"

"mujhe thode der keliye baahar jaana hai. aoge mere saath?" he smiled at her. She was blushing. " iss waqt?"

"kyu its only 6. Kaafi time hai. chale?" she nodded. "ok then get ready. Mien bhi taiyar hotha hu" both goes to get ready. Within half an hour, Arjun comes in a light blue shirt and jeans and Riya in an off white salwar. She was looking as an angel.

They took a car and went to a sea side. Though there was silence, it spoke a lot between them. Arjun held her fingures as if she would vanish any moment. Riya was in a dream like moment. The time that she always dreamt of. Arjun was suffering from an inner turmoil. The relavations of his past and fear for the present were killing him. She sensed his uneasiness. She held his arms tightly. "Arjun. I know ye sab aapkeliye aasan nahi hai. but jis tharah aap apne aapko sambahl rahe hai, aise hi rahna. Ha agar aap apne dil thoda halka karna chahu tho mien yahi hu." He smiled at her sincerity. "I know Riya, that you are always with me. Mere atheeth kuch istharah hai ke mien kuch nahi kar saktha. Par mien apne aaj aur kal ko sambhalna chahtha hu. I promise I'll never lose you." She hugged him and he kissed her forehead, they walked for a long time, hand in hands.

Later they go to a restarant. The atmosphere is so cossy. They take a private cabin. Arjun couldn't leave Riya's hands. They talked a lot about anything and everything that came to their minds. The night was so precious for them.

After dinner Riya excused to go to the washroom. Arjun was waiting for her.

ETF office:

Rathod told Shree and Chotu about Peter's words about Riya. They were making it sure that Riya remain safe.Shree was still tracking Varun's phone. "sir, Vaarun ka phone trace hogaya hai. hotel bluemoon mien"

Rathod: what? Hotel bluemoon? Rawte aur Riya bhi wahi hai . I spoke to him a while back (he calls Arjun) Rawte, tum Hotel Blue moon mein hai na?

Arjun: ha. Kyu?

Rathod: Varun ka phone trace hogaya hai. wo wahi hai. Riya kaha hai?

Arjun: washroom gayi hai. I'll inform her. Tell Shree to mail Varun's photo. Aur Sikander ka bhi. I dont remember his face well. ( he cuts the call)

Arjun goes near to the washroom and waits for her. But she doesn't come out. He calls her. But she doesn't pick it up. He is tensed. A lady comes out to a girl who is waiting outside in the corridor with him. He goes to the lady.

Arjun: excuse me mam, kya ye ladki andar hai? ( he shows Riya's photo)

Lady: nahi tho. Ha but thoode pehle andar aathe hue dekha tha.

Girl on the corridor: are ye mam ko tho wo legaye. (Arjun was shocked)

Arjun: kaun legaya? Aur kab?

Girl: thode pehle ye mam baahar aagaya. Thode chakkar anelage the. Thab ek aadmi aya. Shayad unke husband hoga. He was so caring. Shayad unka naam Arjun tha. Kyunki wo mam behoshi mien unhika naam lethe the. Aur wo admi ne kaha ke mien yahi hu. He was so good. Fir wo unhe leke baahar gaya.

Arjun was too shocked. Suddenly his mobile blinked showing Shree's mail. "kya wo admi yahi the?" girl nods. Arjun is tense as hell. He is fuming. "Sikander"

Few minutes back: Riya moving towards washroom. Varun passes close to her and scratches with a syringe that had tranquiliser.
