How did you infer this?

Just because someone was with many girls, be it for one day, two day, one night or just plain flirting.

How do you know it gave rise to many more anupaama's and kavyas?

There are many women also who don't look for long term commitments but like it casual. How do you know the girls with whom he had relations were not searching for the same thing as him?

And vanraj isn't hated because he had two marriages or was looking for marital bliss.

He is hated because he CHEATED.

And not only cheated, but showing no remorse for it as well.

Vanraj is disliked for his egoistic and arrogant behavior, not because of his search for love.

So you mean to say that NONE of them would had been serious , based on certain expectations etc.

I hope free speech and opinion sharing isn’t hindered regardless of the fondness for some particular character, the very principle of an open forum .

The whole thing is based on that now isn't it ? The fact that people like Anuj cease to exist nowadays has made his personality unrealistic but the basic thing is that every man should atlest have half of what Anuj has but the society has been conditioned otherwise. Its not about comparing him to the gods but about showing the superiority of men who actually love and respect women. No man can ever be compared to god is something i agree with but his whole character cannot be scrutinized for that one comparison is what i am trying to say

This is my opinion and i dont mean to disrespect yours

First please read again all those Gopika's worship Krishna and Radha together. Krishna relationship with them was one of devotion only. Krishna Rasleela is divine, it's just music and dance nothing else, even today in so many temples people celebrate there love for God in this way. Mata ka jagrata is nothing but Rasleela, in that sense.

Honestly when you say word Rasleela in this sense, it's derogatory.

All those Gopika's are said to reincarnation of saint's who prayed to years to get this opportunity to worship Krishna.

Coming to Anuj's comparison with Krishna in serial, it's never about Rasleela. It's about purity of love, Krishna knew because of curse, he can never marry Radha. Similarly here Anuj knew he can never marry Anupama as she got married yet he continued to love her. That is one part of his life, which never died. Another aspect of his human life was where he tried moving and came in contact with girls at times with biological needs and others with intention to move on. His love was compared to Krishna never him as person.

Let me add another uncanny similarity between Anuj and krishna, which writers might have in mind but never spoke clearly for audience ever.

Radha was cursed that she will have to spend 100 years on earth without any memory of Krishna and their love...so during those 100 years it was only krishna who loved Radha, she was in his mind, heart, soul but never physically present with him. And Radha on earth had no idea about krishna or their love

Here also Anuj loved Anu for 26 years while she was not physically present with him. Anu also had no idea about his love, how she was a part of his life for those 26 years. She doesn't even remember him from college.

-----------------

Let's park aside this comparison with Krishna shall we. While you find those hurtful in serial, I find your comments here hurtful in pretense of open forum.

Keeping religious sentiments aside, you have any problems with Anuj as character please pour your heart out.

It's unrealistic and fictional, but no where - to quote your words - cheap or plastic.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that the makers are trying to create or equate it to Krishna - even radha-krishna love/relationship was questioned/not accepted by the society.

He has always respected the boundaries of society more than that he's respected boundaries that Anupama set for herself and their relationship.

To quote from the show "pyar hai par adhikar nahi"

Whereas it's become common to romanticize forced marriage/relationships in ITv in name of marriage and I've a long list of show (currently running- imlie included)

This relationship/show has set a new standard in feminism and progressive mindset about male-female relationship.

We don't know that?

Do we?

We only know his side of the story, so how can we infer how serious were the girls regarding him, what were those girls expectations from the relationship.

When we don't have complete knowledge about it, how can we make such strong judgements about his character based on that particular aspect?

You clearly seem to have issues with his dating life. Going by that, nearly every person in today's day has to be plastic, whaat with many people meeting their fated partner after some failed relationships. Going by your logic, Katrina Kaif is abominable for having married Vicky kaushal after dating Salman Khan. Salman Khan is horrible for having dated her and Lulia later and still not getting married. Ranbir is horrible for finally being committed to Alia right now and every person who has ever dared to move on from a relation not working for them is horrible. That's what is unreal in today's. World. In this day and age, people don't even make friends that easily, meet people , grow apart and then meet people meant for them. You can never know that which person is going to become your closest. Prediction in this scenario is preposterous. Or do you advocate that if you've entered a relationship you should see it to the bitter end even if you end up suffocating in the process, the exact thing anupama went through and the result was a broken woman. Would Anuj have been more appropriate if he would have married one of his girlfriends and a few years down the line separated from her because of differences, leaving in the wake a child suffering from the divorce?

A genuine person always enters a relationship with the hope of it being their ever after. What makes you think Anuj was not that genuine person who wanted to fall in love with his girlfriend? What makes you think he didn't try to make it work and only gave it up when he realised that he was incapable of giving her what she truly was worth? In the process, a few couldve gotten hurt but atleast it was better than leaving them later or suffocating himself.

Time and again, all your post does is go round and round in circles with no clear purpose. You make too much assumptions regarding a mere character whose personality has been portrayed nothing less than what is expected of a decent man. And yes, he didn't goad in front of Anu about having dated and slept around, that was his honesty speaking.

Lastly , the only people who can justify cursing Anuj would be those girlfriends you speak of whose hearts you think he oh so brutally shattered which btw have yet to be introduced in the serial, and thus going by that, your accusations have zero substance.

You keep coming back to a place where everyone loves the man and keep dissing him for reasons that neither make sense nor are plausible. I fail to fathom what did Anuj do to you to incite such extreme reactions, that too here. It's like forcefully barging into a group assigned for certain interests and traashing those interests simply because they don't align with yours. This forum, to my understanding is not a place for you, but you keep putting these topics despite knowing the end result. Makes me wonder, what exactly are you aiming at? Opening our eyes? Enlightening us? Or what?

Finally, those girls gushing over Anuj in the mandir... what's your age? Your thought process would still be understable if you were from the older generation but if you are not, then you are rather regressive. You clearly have never had a crush in life if you felt inappropriate about them fawning over Anuj. And neither would you have joked with friends about boys then, not even celebrities. The points you make are absolutely groundless. Exercise your freedom of speech where it is needed. Perhaps on your social media or on the director's page or whatever, but not here. Because all your post does is incite debate and sstaart a circle.

@nish_vir - I'm sorry your outburst is rather funny.... You don't need to get so hyper... As you can see there's only one attacker and lots of defenders so your anuj and his character are both safe. 😆

I saw another post like this on forum few days back... I thought people are just assuming things based on what anuj said to Anu in temple about his past relationships. It didn't in anyway indicate that he used any of them. Mostly it was plain simple truth, and the way of interpretation matters here.
