Paridhi Sharma, best known for her widely loved portrayal of Jodha in Jodha Akbar, is once again making an impact—this time on the big screen as Eram in the Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam starrer Haq. While her performance is attracting attention, Paridhi is also sparking conversations with her balanced, thoughtful views on the growing influence of artificial intelligence in everyday life.

A Balanced Approach to Technology

Sharing her perspective on how technology has evolved over the years, Paridhi explains that its role has always been supportive rather than controlling. “Exactly the same way we have used technology until now—we have made it our support system to help us achieve efficiency. We have not allowed it to become a master that governs our lives,” she says. According to her, the way society has built a relationship with the internet and digital tools should also guide how AI is approached. For Paridhi, balance remains the key, not dependency.

Talking about the rapid rise of AI, she acknowledges that it brings both ease and difficulty. “Every technology has its own pros and cons. It’s going to be a tough task. People are going to face many difficulties if AI is poorly managed. It will be a constant challenge in the coming times.” Despite its ability to process information and learn patterns, Paridhi believes AI cannot replace the deeper qualities that define human nature. She adds, “AI can never replace human creativity, emotional intelligence, or critical thinking… it took lakhs of years to develop these qualities in our DNA. Even we as humans aren’t fully aware of that space.”

Human Intelligence vs. Artificial Intelligence

For her, there are still layers of the human mind that remain beyond the reach of machines. “We keep naming this x-factor as God, as consciousness, as universal intervention… something that deeply influences our lives. You simply can’t empower a machine with that,” she says, pointing to the intangible aspects of human experience that technology cannot replicate.

Her primary concern is the growing tendency to depend too heavily on AI. “If we start relying too much on AI, we are eventually giving power to a machine that could one day rule us,” she warns, noting that people are slowly becoming aware of this risk. Paridhi believes the solution lies in maintaining the right approach. “The right approach is to include AI as a helper, not as a master. With that mindset, we can sustain well with AI.”

Convenience With Caution

She also recognises that convenience is the reason technology exists in the first place. “Something that makes your life easier—who would want to go back to manual methods? That’s why technology is invented. Everyone craves convenience.” However, she emphasises that acceptance should come with awareness. “It’s important to accept the inclusion of AI, because only then can we reach a space where we strike a healthy balance.”

As Paridhi Sharma continues to make her mark with her performance in Haq, her clear, grounded view of AI reflects the same thoughtfulness she brings to her characters.
