Actor Soniya Bansal has spoken out strongly after learning that an individual who has been contacting people through an unknown number while falsely claiming to be her. The actress expressed deep concern and disappointment over the misuse of her name, as the impersonator reportedly introduced himself as Soniya and attempted to engage people in fraudulent conversations. The incident has raised serious questions about the growing trend of identity misuse involving public personalities.

Soniya clarified that she has absolutely no connection with the person involved or with the number used. Describing the act as irresponsible, unethical, and harmful, she emphasized how such situations not only mislead innocent individuals but also put her reputation and credibility at risk. She urged the public to stay cautious when responding to any unknown callers or messages claiming to be from celebrities.

Addressing the issue, Soniya shared, "It deeply disturbs me that someone has been pretending to be me and contacting people without my knowledge. I want to make it very clear that I have no association with Anuj or any such number being circulated. This is a serious misuse of my name, and I strongly request everyone to stay alert and not fall for such fraudulent approaches."

She further expressed how hurtful it is to see her identity being exploited.

"My name and my work mean everything to me. It is painful to see someone use them for dishonest intentions. Anyone who receives a call or message claiming to be me should immediately know it is false unless it comes directly through my verified accounts or official representatives. I would never reach out to anyone from an unverified number."
